2024 College Football Week 12 Picks (ATS & Totals)
UCLA @ Washington | Friday, 9:00 p.m. ET
Friday night takes us to Lake Washington, where two recent Big Ten additions, UCLA and Washington, face off with the Huskies as 3.5-point favorites. UCLA has hit its stride, winning three straight Big Ten matchups and covering in seven consecutive games, moving to an impressive 7-2 ATS. Wins over Iowa, Nebraska and Rutgers have solidified the Bruins’ place as a team that can grind out victories, especially against struggling offenses.
Washington, on the other hand, is slipping. The Huskies have dropped three of their last four games, failing to cover in each of those matchups, and now sit at 4-5 ATS. Given the offensive struggles on both sides º Washington ranks 126th in total offense and UCLA is 109th – this one is set to be a low-scoring battle. The under is looking strong in this matchup of two inconsistent offenses.
Pick: Under 47.0 (-112)
#6 Tennessee @ #11 Georgia | Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET
In Athens, Ga., the 11th-ranked Bulldogs are favored by 10 points against the surging sixth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers. Georgia’s season took a hit last week as Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss squad handed them a 28-10 loss, pushing the Bulldogs to 3-6 ATS with their 50th-ranked total offense. Since Week 5 against Alabama, QB Carson Beck has struggled, throwing more picks than touchdowns, a trend that could spell trouble against a strong Tennessee defense.
Tennessee has stumbled ATS recently, failing to cover in four of their last five, but they’re racking up wins in the SEC. Sitting at 8-1, they boast the eighth-ranked offense and fifth-ranked defense. With a powerful ground game led by RB Dylan Sampson, Tennessee looks well-equipped to handle Georgia. Getting 10 points feels like too much in what should be a hard-fought SEC battle.
Pick: Tennessee +10.0 (-112)
#1 Oregon @ Wisconsin | Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET
In the Big Ten, top-ranked Oregon heads to Madison, Wisc., as 14.5-point favorites over the Wisconsin Badgers. The Ducks have been unstoppable, scoring 30+ points in nine straight games, including seven straight in Big Ten play. Oregon has been dominant against every team besides Ohio State, outscoring other Big Ten opponents 215-67.
Though strong in parts of the season, Wisconsin hasn’t shown up consistently and was last seen taking a 32-point loss to Iowa. With a 3-6 ATS record, they lack the firepower to keep pace with Oregon’s balanced attack and QB Dillon Gabriel’s efficient play. As long as the Ducks stay at -14.5, it’s a spread worth backing.
