Who are the Voices Behind the Stories and Shows?
Seth Woolcock is a 26-year-old communications professional from Pennsylvania who believes that everyone has a story to tell. He is a four-time Fantasy Sports Writers Association (FSWA) Award finalist. In addition to owning and operating In-Between Media, Seth is a host, producer, writer and editor at FantasyPros/BettingPros. Prior to developing In-Between Media, Seth graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in journalism and public relations. During his time there, he was the editor-in-chief of The Penn, his campus newspaper, transitioning the nearly 100-year-old publication from print to an all-digital media company. Outside of watching football and NASCAR, but often using it as inspiration, Seth loves music, kicking back outdoors and adventuring.
Elliot Hicks has had both writing and sports media in his veins from the beginning, both of his own being and the beginning of In-Between Media. The longest-tenured member of IBT not in the Woolcock household, Hicks is currently at the forefront of the site's NASCAR content. He was In-Between before it was a thing, serving as sports editor under Seth at IUP's The Penn student newspaper when the first "Start, Sit & Seth" column was written. (Industry secret - he doesn't rank tight ends because we didn't have the space for it in the paper.) Holding a B.A. in communications with a minor in journalism, his experience with TV, radio and live sports broadcasting serves well as host of "The Backroad," the site's weekly NASCAR betting and DFS YouTube show. Separately from the site, Hicks enjoys Pittsburgh sports, dubstep and EDM music, standup comedy and watching Alex Bowman finish 14th every week.
Conor Coughlin is from Plano, Texas but claims Colorado as his home. He is an avid golfer and has been playing for over 30 years. He spent 15 years in retail, hospitality management and leadership development. He now works in the wine and spirits industry. Conor is a lover of all music and spent several years playing in bands and writing music. He loves Rory Mcllroy and is a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. When Conor is not grinding NFL and PGA contests, he enjoys a good bourbon and a round of golf with friends. He currently lives in South Dakota with his dog Norman and his wife Rae.
Eric Romoff is a native Texan and father of two who has been playing and analyzing fantasy sports for over 20 years. Eric is also the co-founder of Pros with Joes, a charity fantasy football league that pairs every-day fantasy players with the analysts they know and trust. Through this endeavor, he has raised thousands of dollars for a variety of charities. When football season wraps up, Eric can be found bringing college basketball to the masses with Green Screens Media, a venture he co-founded in 2022.
During the day, Bo McBrayer enjoys his peace and quiet as a hearing care provider in his sound-controlled office. At night, he casts a formidable shadow over his bubbling cauldron of hot sauce and cooks for the drooling masses on #foodporn Instagram. In his free time, Bo likes to utilize his attention to detail and trusty gut to help folks win at Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS). He is survived by his hot takes, spicy wit and desperate mission to be followed on Twitter by Matthew Berry.
Rod Villagomez is a father to two daughters and a son. For the last 17 years, he’s been joined on his life journey by his wife and best friend. He’s spent the majority of his adult life as a soldier in the U.S. Army and continues to serve as a member of the National Guard. His love of sports goes back as far as he can remember but was always rooted in family. Sundays were for gatherings and watching football. From there, he fell in love with the language of the game and knew he wanted to be the person who spoke it to the masses. He is currently doing that as a writer and a podcaster. In addition, he has several hours' worth of play-by-play experience. His favorite sports teams include the San Francisco 49ers and Giants, the Colorado Avalanche and the Ottawa Redblacks. He’s proud to be a San Francisco State Broadcast alumni.
Kyle Scott is a 26-year-old graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). While attending IUP, he studied communications media and worked as an audio editor for The Penn, where he met Seth Woolcock. He is a fan of bad sports teams, bad movies and good beer. Kyle has placed in the top-three of every bar trivia contest he has entered, and long term hopes to be a contestant on "Jeopardy!".
Steve Lawson is from Boston. He works as a nurse during the day and is a struggling artist at night. While being a nurse is important to him, creativity will always be the thing that drives him. From writing stories, to taking photos, to creating music, Steve is fully committed to creating things for people to enjoy. In addition to being a creative, Steve is an avid LGBTQ+ advocate and ambassador as he himself has had to navigate the world as a gay man. An avid consumer of TV and movies, the entertainment world is a place Steve finds himself turning to in order to unwind from the stress of patient care. Expression and authenticity are the keys to Steve's outlook on the world, and he wants to bring that to every article he writes. A creative writing degree from Florida State University preceded nursing life, and that degree still lives on with Steve's work!
Jacob Parry is a 29-year-old Illinois native who has been involved in a little bit of everything. He has a B.A. in Marketing from Aurora University and M.A. in Organization Leadership from Lewis University, where he worked as an admission counselor. Post-undergrad, he spent four years working in higher education student recruitment for both undergraduate and graduate programs before transitioning into professional recruitment for an international grocery chain.
In a past life, Jake was an athlete who played multiple sports, including football, basketball, golf and specialized in baseball, where he earned a scholarship to play in college before multiple injuries ended his career. At this point, he still gets to play slowpitch softball and is an avid golfer (low handicap of 2.4) who spends much of his free time with his wife (married in 2020) and their five dogs (Rini, Layla, Miley, Ernest and Muri), or playing video games (specifically "Madden"/"NCAA" and "Apex Legends"). He creates fantasy football content with JWB Fantasy Football as an analyst in redraft, dynasty, best ball and occasionally sports betting.
He also loves music, comedy and movies, and some people have said he has the best hair on Twitter for three years running. You can usually find him at a local brewery with a beer in hand, spouting his nonsense about being a top 5% athlete in the world!
Sven currently resides in the Lone Star State but was a native New Yorker for the first 25 years of his life. He has a background in cooking, managing numerous restaurants, finance and Information Technology (IT). From pizza to BBQ, you can always find Sven whipping something up his kitchen, whether it be on the stove or in his smoker. If Sven is not cooking, he’s hanging out with his wife Maria & two dogs, working, playing Warzone, attempting to golf or watching sports, especially the NFL. 18 years have been devoted to becoming an expert in the artform of fantasy football... stay tuned.
Nicolette Rojo is a 26-year-old digital content specialist and marketer. She is a lifelong resident of Los Angeles. She is currently at FOX Sports, covering the FS1 studio show’s programming and tent pole events, such as the FIFA World Cup, MLB World Series, Euro and Copa América tournaments and more. Her love and passion for fantasy football and sports betting led her to a content role with The33rd Team.
She is also a co-host of the "American Valor Podcast," where she interviews individuals with ties to the military and baseball as America’s pastime. Nicolette is a former D3 collegiate basketball player at the University of La Verne, where she earned her B.A. in communications with a broadcast journalism emphasis and minor in business administration. In May 2022, she wrapped up her graduate program with an M.A. in sports management at the University of San Francisco.
When she is not on Fantasy Football Twitter, Nicolette is either indulging in sad Lakers Twitter content, playing sports in rec leagues, attending sporting events and concerts, relaxing at the beach or waking up early for F1.
Sam Schneider (Samwise) got his start writing editorials as a hobby for a number of sports and outlets. Although he cut a wide swath in professional sports writing, the Bengals fan’s heart has always belonged to his team and fantasy football. A player of the latter since the mid-1990s, Sam now spends his time as an editor of a multitude of subjects and concentrates his writing on all things fantasy. His specialty lies in short attention span fantasy football insight for players of every level, particularly dynasty. When not writing and discussing football, you can find this former TV/Movie actor and restaurateur exploring other hobbies, forever in search of something that provides the same high as this confounding, perfectly imperfect game of fantasy football.
Ben Siebert, residing in the Las Vegas area his whole life, discovered his passion for fantasy football early on as he currently runs a Facebook Page, "Fantasy Sports Start or Sit'Em Questions," since 2012, and an X/Twitter page, with the same name since around 2018. Outside of fantasy football, he works at a dog daycare and enjoys spending time with his dog, Esch. He is also a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and is bound to make a "bad" pun or two every week!
James Danielson was born and raised in Minnesota and currently resides in his hometown of Chatfield, Minn. He is married to his beautiful wife, Jennifer, and they have three children: Decker, Demi and Dixi. He has been working for Kwik Trip Inc. for 10 years and currently runs one of their convenience stores. Not only that, but James is also a firefighter for his hometown.
He loves to spend his spare time with his family and friends or enjoying one of his hobbies. It’s quite often, if you can’t find him at home, he’s either at the gym, walking a trout stream, in the woods hunting deer or at the movie theater. Not only does James have a passion for fantasy football, but he equally loves watching and writing reviews for movies.
Come fall; you can catch him cheering on his Minnesota Vikings (or yelling at them) with a craft beer in hand, covered head to toe in purple and gold, and cooking up something good on the smoker.
Joseph Griffin is a native of Georgia who has recently called coastal North Carolina home for over a decade. He is a father to an 8-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son. Joseph and Brittany, his amazing wife of 13 years, are also licensed foster parents. Joseph is a former youth pastor and middle school educator with a master's degree in teaching English. Currently, he works as a people manager in clinical research. Joseph is a diehard Atlanta Falcons and University of North Carolina (UNC) Tarheels fan who also enjoys rooting for Atlanta United and the Atlanta Braves. When he isn’t engrossed in fantasy football Twitter or sending out trade offers to his league mates in his dynasty leagues, Joseph enjoys being active outdoors with his family, reading, traveling and spending time with friends.
Katie Mest is an SEO specialist in Central Pennsylvania. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with degrees in journalism/public relations and marketing and knows many of the other In-Between Media staff members from her time working for the student newspaper. She also works as a freelance copywriter when she is not editing columns for In-Between. Katie is new to fantasy football as of the 2020 season, but quickly found excitement in the unpredictability of it all. She grew up around sports, starting cross country in kindergarten, which led to softball, basketball and track. For professional sports, she roots for Pennsylvania teams to find a balance between her Philly loving family and Pittsburgh fan of a boyfriend.
Will Starliper is a senior communications student at Purdue University from Indiana. He has over five years of experience as a fantasy football content creator and video editor, working his best to build skills and experiences in the industry. Will enjoys playing a variety of sports, weightlifting and spending every spare second he has studying fantasy football. Go Colts!
Emerging from a cloud of smoke on the West Coast of Canada is a feral beast with a quick-wit and a tongue sharper than a lumberjacks axe. When not producing content, Josh "Smokey-Hell" Nelson wears the hat of a proud father (to Felix and Ozzy) and husband (to his beloved Rachel). Having spent his first few decades in hockey, baseball, track and field and more, sports gave way to the other pursuits in Smokey’s life, namely music, entertainment and fantasy sports. Spending the mid-Aughts cutting his teeth as a journalist in the Vancouver music scene (when not taking over the hospitality industry) affirmed writing to be a most enjoyable passion.
Phil Cartlich is a 38-year-old high school math teacher based in Hull, north United Kingdom. A fan of both the NFL and College Football since his early teens, Phil has been playing fantasy football for around eight years and seeks out new challenges in the space year after year to develop his playing experience. Having previously worked for some of the UK’s biggest fantasy football content creators, including Kings Fantasy Sports, 5 Yard Rush and Fantasy Wildcard, Phil’s passion is fantasy game theory, prospect evaluation and helping players win devy and dynasty championships!
Colin McTamany resides in the greater Philadelphia area, where he was born and raised. He is a graduate of Temple University, where he earned a B.A. while playing rugby all four years. He has even auditioned for the show a handful of times, getting as far as an interview with a producer for "Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X," the show's 33rd season. Whether you're a new fan or a super fan, Colin is here to recap, review and revel in everything happening on the island.

Born and raised in Maine, now based in Asheville, N.C., – at least for now – Ben Burke has always had a passion for sports, from team histories to uniforms and logos. He has even worked in sports merchandise sales during major events like Super Bowl runs and championship seasons. When he’s not working or watching a game, he’s usually hanging with his cat, Onyx, scrolling eBay for diecast cars and jerseys, or planning his next trip to a ballpark/arena/track or the Indianapolis 500, a yearly tradition. He believes sports are more than games; they’re the soundtrack to life.
