2024 College Football Week 6 Picks (ATS & Totals)
#9 Missouri @ #25 Texas A&M | Saturday, 12:00 p.m. ET
The most anticipated game of the noon slate is in College Station, Texas, where the 25th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies are surprisingly favored against the ninth-ranked and undefeated Missouri Tigers. Missouri struggled to cover in their last two outings, narrowly escaping with a win against Vanderbilt in their last game and barely beating Boston College by six points three weeks ago. Thankfully, they’ve had a bye week to regroup and get their ducks in a row.
On the other hand, Texas A&M rebounded from their Week 1 loss to Notre Dame, stacking wins, including a solid performance against Arkansas last week. However, they’re just 1-4 ATS, leaving room for doubt regarding their ability to cover the spread against a formidable opponent.
If we can grab Missouri as an underdog here, we’re all-in. It feels like the odds could flip in their favor as we get closer to game time.
Pick: Missouri +2.0 (-108)
#15 Clemson @ Florida State | Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET
In Tallahassee, Fla., the struggling Florida State Seminoles will look to bounce back against the 15th-ranked Clemson Tigers. Florida State fans have been quiet lately, with a disappointing 1-4 start and a shocking 0-5 ATS record. Quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei has struggled and is now banged up, leading to some turmoil at the positon, with Brock Glenn playing in relief.
Clemson, meanwhile, has found their footing, covering the spread in three straight games against solid competition. Cade Klubnik has led the Tigers to a top-30 total offensive ranking, and he’s currently 25-1 to win the Heisman Trophy. It’s time to back Clemson as they look to capitalize on FSU’s struggles.
Pick: Clemson -14.5 (-108)
#10 Michigan @ Washington | Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET
On the shores of Lake Washington, we have a National Championship rematch, where the Washington Huskies are favored by 2.5 points against the 10th-ranked Wolverines. Michigan opened as 9.5-point favorites in the look-ahead line but fell apart late against Minnesota. They won but failed to cover once again. They are now just 1-4 ATS, with QB Alex Orji struggling to find consistency through the air.
Washington, on the other hand, is coming off a disappointing loss to Rutgers and now sits at 3-2 straight up, 2-3 ATS and 0-5 to the over. The Huskies have been less than impressive, raising questions about their ability to maintain this line against a strong Michigan team that previously dominated them in their last meeting.
With Michigan sitting at a favorable +2.5, we think there’s potential value here. We’ve been burned by Michigan before, but we’re leaning toward taking them to cover this spread if not win outright on the +130 moneyline.
Pick: Michigan +2.5 (-108)
