Between Bets: Bengals-Bills SGP
“Between Bets” is an article series revealing our staff’s best wagers across the NFL, NASCAR and PGA Tour. This week’s bet features our favorite same-game parlay for Cincinnati Bengals-Buffalo Bills, kicking off Sunday at 3:00 p.m. ET.
DraftKings Same-Game Parlay: Bengals vs. Bills
Both the Bills’ and Bengals’ defenses are banged up. This was evident in the Wild Card Round last week as the Bills allowed the Skyler Thompson-led Dolphins to drop 31 points on them. Conversely, the Bengals let the Tyler Huntley-led Bengals total 364 yards against them. This makes the over an appealing start to our same-game parlay.
I’m keying in on the Bengals’ best skill player, Ja’Marr Chase, for the next two legs. Chase has found paydirt in four of his last five games. With Damar Hamlin and Micah Hyde both out, the Bills are now on their third-string free safety. In addition, strong safety Jordan Poyer hasn’t been fully healthy all season, and cornerbacks Dane Jackson and Tre’Davious White are not 100 percent either. The banged-up Bills’ secondary lends to Chase getting loose for at least one score here.
Additionally, Chase has averaged 90.4 receiving yards in his five career playoff games. With an equally banged-up offensive line, I expect Joe Burrow to look for his No. 1 option quickly after the snap. The Burrow-Chase connection is made for big moments like this and should have no problem crossing this alternative receiving yards line of 80.
