Tootsie’s Picks: NFL Week 16 PrizePicks Player Predictions (2023)

by Rachel (@tootsiepop6)

Last week, I smashed ALL three of my PrizePicks predictions. On the season, I am now at a 50.9% hit rate on the predictions I’ve laid out for this weekly article series. Only three weeks remain of the regular NFL season, and there is stress and anxiety all around for the teams, players and fantasy and prop bet enthusiasts. Will our stockings be filled with chocolates and sweets? Or will we find lumps of coal? Let’s get those treats! Here are my best Week 16 PrizePicks predictions.

NFL Week 16 PrizePicks Player Predictions

Jordan Love (QB, Green Bay Packers) MORE Than 236.5 Passing Yards

Coming into this season, it wasn’t clear how the Green Bay Packers would fare without quarterback Aaron Rodgers leading the charge. Could Jordan Love step up and prove to be an elite quarterback? Love is averaging 240.6 passing yards per game on the season. Even though the Carolina Panthers have been extremely tough against opposing quarterbacks, the Packers are struggling on the rushing front, as both Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon have been dealing with recent injuries. With rising receivers like Christian Watson and Jayden Reed, along with rookie tight end Tucker Kraft, the Packers have been popping on the passing front. As much as this Vikings fan disdains the Packers, I’m anticipating Love and the Packers to continue their playoff hunt. Take the more on Love’s passing yards.

Kyler Murray (QB, Arizona Cardinals) LESS Than 223.5 Passing Yards

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has only averaged 215 passing yards since returning from injury five weeks ago. The Cardinals are up against the Bears, whose defense has been coming on strong as of late. The under for this line has been hit seven of 10 times for quarterbacks against the Bears since Week 5. I’m expecting coal in my stocking when it comes to Murray’s passing yards this week. As much as he’s likable and talented, this season is just not lining up for Murray and the Cardinals. I’m taking the under on this PrizePicks prop.

David Njoku (TE, Cleveland Browns) MORE Than 49.5 Receiving Yards

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is hella reliable when it comes to the tight end position. He is averaging 50.3 receiving yards per game on the season. In the last two weeks alone, this average has been 97.5 receiving yards. He and quarterback Joe Flacco have unquestioned synergy. The Houston Texans have allowed an average of 59.7 receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends, so this line will be easy peasy for Njoku this week. I have concerns about the state of my stomach from all the Christmas treats I’m about to consume this week, but I have zero concerns about hitting the more on the PrizePicks prediction. Let’s get it.

Because this Christmas weekend is chock full of NFL games, here are a couple of bonus PrzePicks predictions to sweeten our stockings with.

Tanner Hudson (TE, Cincinnati Bengals) MORE Than 26.5 Receiving Yards | Saturday

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson is averaging 33.1 receiving yards and 3.6 receptions per game when active this season. He’s on fire in this offense.

Christian McCaffrey (RB, San Francisco 49ers) MORE Than 81.5 Rushing Yards | Christmas Day

This line feels incredibly low for Christian McCaffrey, who has averaged 92.3 rushing yards per game this season. The powers that be who set these lines are throwing in an extra candy cane for free. Trust in “CMC.”

Remember, with any PrizePicks play, follow your gut on the lines you agree with. Always play responsibly. And always, always make sure you’re having fun with it!
