Ranking the NFL’s Largest Super Bowl LX Bets

by IBT Media Staff

While we remain days out from Super Bowl LX, NFL fans fired off their bets long ago on which of the remaining four teams will win it all. So much action is already on this game, in fact, that experts expect Americans to legally wager more money on the big game in 2026 than in any year prior.

It is not hard to understand the rosy projections. The unpredictability of the final four squads standing lends itself to intense intrigue.

Out of the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots, only one team entered the season laying top-ten Super Bowl odds.  That honor belonged to the Rams, who ranked somewhere between seventh and tenth at the best Super Bowl betting sites. And yet, this doesn’t even do the remaining field justice. Neither the Patriots nor the Seahawks ranked in the top 16 of most likely Super Bowl winners. Heck, Seattle darn near didn’t even finish in the top 20.

Naturally, betting enthusiasts are seeing an opportunity to capitalize on earlier lines. Placing wagers as the season progresses won’t offer payouts as lucrative as preseason odds, but the potential returns can still be there, especially when this season has given off an “anything can happen” vibe. And if that’s the feeling just days away from Super Bowl 60, imagine what these odds may have looked like in the preseason, or earlier in the year.

Actually, we don’t have to imagine! We have the ability to take a peek at the largest Super Bowl bets placed this year on the remaining teams. And rest assured, the amount of money on some of these wagers will surprise you.

Ranking the NFL’s Largest Super Bowl LX Bets

1. $50,000 on the Seattle Seahawks To Win Super Bowl 60

Odds: +6000
Bet Would Win: $3 million

Someone has the chance to become a millionaire if they weren’t already.

Placing a preseason bet on the Seahawks to win it all took a special kind of gall. With a wild card like Sam Darnold under center, the vast majority of statistical models had them winning between eight and nine games. Seattle ended up with a whopping 14 victories, and the NFC’s No. 1 seed to boot. This bettor will be watching closely on Sunday.

2. $100,000 on the Denver Broncos To Win Super Bowl 60

Odds: +900
Bet Would Win: $900,000

Not to rain on this ticket’s parade, but it had the potential to be so much more lucrative. The Broncos opened at +2500, so this person clearly placed their wager at some point after their Week 1 victory over the Tennessee Titans. If we had to guess, it probably came after Week 5, once Denver crept back above .500 following two straight losses.

To be sure, netting almost $1 million is hardly small potatoes. However, if they had placed this exact bet before Week 1, they’d be looking at a potential $2.5 million payout.

3. $10,000 on the New England Patriots To Win Super Bowl 60

Odds: +8000
Bet Would Win: $800,000

Based on the Patriots’ 80-to-1 odds, this wager was placed before the start of the season. So, the bettor must have been sweating their butt off after New England lost to the Las Vegas Raiders, of all teams, in Week 1. They were probably sweating even more after New England dropped to 1-2 following Week 3.

Fortunately for them, the Patriots went on to win ten consecutive games, as well as 13 of their final 14 overall. Factor in their two playoff victories, and the Pats have a ridiculous 15-1 record over their last 16 games.

For this bettor to make a boatload of money, New England will need to finish 17-1 over an 18-game stretch. That feels impossible when written out, but here we are, and this bet is more than still alive.

4. $30,000 on the New England Patriots To Win Super Bowl 60

Odds: +2200
Bet Would Win: $660,000

If only this person decided the Patriots were worth this investment before the season. Then they would be in line for a $2.4 million payout. Somehow, someway, we think they’ll be okay with $660,000 if the Pats end up winning it all.

Still, the odds on this raise an interesting question: How late into the schedule was the wager placed? There is no way New England dipped below +8000 before their Week 4 victory. Given the 22-to-1 odds, this bet was probably placed midway, if not during the latter half, of their ten-game winning streak. Certainly not a bad bet or potential payout.
