Happy Thanksgiving week to you and yours! Time to get the bird cooked, the fridge stocked, the deviled eggs made and the pumpkin pie topped with Cool Whip. Hard to believe we are here, it has been such a fun fantasy football and DFS season thus far. Through all the ups and downs, we continue to show how to persevere.
We are into Week 13 of the NFL season and the playoffs are beginning to take shape. Let’s get into my Week 13 NFL DFS and FastDraft Flex Six Frenzy picks for the main slate on Sunday, with a Thanksgiving twist! This will not include the Thanksgiving Day games or the Black Friday game. I hope you all get to spend ample time with your loved ones on Thanksgiving, and good luck!
Week 13 NFL “FastDraft Flex Six Frenzy” Lineup Advice (2025) | NFL DFS Picks
Travis Etienne Jr. (RB, Jacksonville Jaguars) — “Mashed Potatoes”
Don’t look now, but if the season ended today, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne would finish as the RB12 overall. Most fantasy analysts wrote off Etienne coming into the 2025 season due to a lack of efficiency and consistency. He was kind of the forgotten running back this year. Nonetheless, he has been incredibly consistent. In 11 games this season, he finished seven of them as RB12 or better, including three finishes at or above RB10. He went from no consistency at all to hyper-consistent week to week. That’s why I’m calling Etienne this week’s “mashed potatoes.” They’re always there at your Thanksgiving meal. They are always great, but rarely incredible. Overall, they’re always consistent. That is exactly what Travis Etienne Jr. has been in 2025.
This week, the matchup bodes well for Etienne and the Jacksonville run game. On Sunday, the Jaguars take on the Tennessee Titans, who haven’t given a rip about running back this season. They’re allowing them to score a whopping 23.8 fantasy points per game. With Etienne scoring four touchdowns total in the last three weeks, it’s easy to see a path where he finds the endzone yet again. The Jaguars are nearly a touchdown favorite to win this game, so if they get up early, they can ride the running back consistency Travis Etienne has provided this season.
Bijan Robinson (RB, Atlanta Falcons) — “Turkey”
The Atlanta Falcons are in a tough spot with Kirk Cousins under center. The veteran had some flashes this past week, but overall, he did not look good. He’s a statue in the pocket, and some of his throws make a guy say, “yuck.” That’s why I’m taking Bijan Robinson as my second running back choice. He’s the meat of this offense, and if the Falcons want to win, they might want to think about leaning on their beefy running back. Robinson is the RB5 overall at this point in the season, despite a cold streak in touchdowns, scoring only four on the ground and two through the air.
But he is clearly the meat, or “turkey” in this case, for the Falcons. Bijan Robinson is the main course. He is the focal point, just like the turkey at your Thanksgiving dinner. They need to get him going, and he will find the endzone.
Lucky for Robinson, the matchup is nice. The New York Jets sold the farm right before the trade deadline, and sure, they’ve been playing alright, but their rushing defense is rough. They’re a top-ten matchup for fantasy running backs, and if you don’t think the Falcons will expose that with one of the best backs in the league, then I don’t know what to tell you. Kirk Cousins will probably have a better game this week, but the truth is that if they want to take it to the Jets, they need to utilize the run game and Bijan Robinson.
Ladd McConkey (WR, Los Angeles Chargers) — “Deviled Eggs”
Oh, the little Ladd! Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey is my top pick for DFS this week. Aside from two weeks ago (the Chargers were on bye this past week), McConkey hasn’t seen fewer than five targets per game and has done a great deal with them. What started as a mediocre season really pushed forward in Week 5. Since Week 5, he has led the team in targets, receptions, yards and touchdowns through the air. McConkey is just really damn good. He’s small, quick and can pack a punch when needed with the deep ball. That’s why he’s my “deviled eggs” for Thanksgiving week. They’re small, they go quick and they pack a punch of flavor. What’s not to like about Ladd McConkey and deviled eggs?
The Chargers will take on the Las Vegas Raiders in hopes of bouncing back from their Week 11 loss, when they got shellacked by the Jaguars. With a week off to prepare, they should be focusing on their air attack. Why? The Raiders are abysmal against the pass, and they allow fantasy wide receivers to average 30.6 points per game. Look for the Chargers to hyper-target Ladd McConkey and expose the Raiders’ secondary in what should be a good game for the little Ladd.
Davante Adams (WR, Los Angeles Rams) — “Stuffing”
The Davante Adams and Matthew Stafford connection has been undeniable and unstoppable this season. Adams has a nose for the endzone and has really become “Mr. Reliable” for Matthew Stafford. That is especially true inside the 20-yard line, as nine of Adams’ 12 touchdowns have come inside the 20 this season. That used to be running back Kyren Williams‘ territory, but with Adams on the roster, that has shifted. The Los Angeles Rams just aren’t running it like they used to, and that’s largely due to the absolute heater that Stafford is on right now.
That’s why Davante Adams is being labeled here as “stuffing.” He’s reliable, he’s always excellent and it’s one of the things you’re definitely grabbing seconds of, like how Adams is grabbing seconds for touchdowns. In the past five weeks, Adams had multi-touchdown games in three of them, and in one of those, he had three touchdowns.
The matchup itself against the Carolina Panthers isn’t very appealing, so to speak. They’ve really turned it on against the pass. But with the way Matthew Stafford is throwing the football and the way Davante Adams keeps finding the endzone, I’m not sure it matters. Even in bad game scripts and matchups, Adams has found the endzone. Take two weeks ago against the Seahawks, for example; it was a tough matchup and he still scored. There’s risk, without question, but I fully believe Davante Adams will continue to be “Mr. Reliable” for Matthew Stafford and the Rams this Sunday against the Panthers, who are on a short week.
Dalton Schultz (TE, Houston Texans) — “Dinner Roll”
The Houston Texans are an interesting team because they rely heavily on their defense to win games. A perfect example was last week against the Buffalo Bills. The defense balled out and therefore did not need to use much of their offense, including tight end Dalton Schultz. But coming into last week, Schultz had kind of turned it up a bit. He’s not flashy by any means, and he may be the slowest human on the planet with the ball in his hands. But the truth is, Schultz can catch the ball, and he’s getting targets. Over the last six weeks, the tight end has averaged 7.5 targets per game, and in four of those six weeks, he’s finished as a top-ten tight end overall.
He is this Thanksgiving week’s “dinner roll.” They’re not a flashy item at the dinner table, but you can rely on them to hit when you need just a little something more in your belly. They’ll also slow you down, in Dalton Schultz fashion, if you have too many. Schultz isn’t going to wow anyone, but he is an essential part of this offense when needed, just like a dinner roll.
The Texans will face off against the Indianapolis Colts this week, and the matchup is actually quite decent for Schultz. The Colts are, in fact, a top-six matchup for fantasy tight ends, because they try to take away a team’s run game and do OK against wideouts. But they allow, on average, 13.6 points per game to the TE position. This could leave the door open for Dalton Schultz to have another nice game. He’s not going to have a blowup game by any means, but he most definitely should fare well enough in a weekly DFS lineup.
Trey McBride (TE, Arizona Cardinals) — “Pumpkin Pie”
I don’t think there is any slowing down tight end Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals. Since Week 6, he has finished inside the TE6 six times, finished as the TE3 or TE2 three times, and as the TE1 twice. It’s crazy, but quarterback Jacoby Brissett LOVES throwing it to McBride, and as he should, because he’s their best weapon and can find the endzone no problem. McBride is my “pumpkin pie” pick. He is absolute money when it’s all said and done, and we all look forward to a slice or three. It may be the best part of the Thanksgiving meal, kind of like Trey McBride, in the sense that we all look forward to watching his game and the outcome.
This week, the Cardinals face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are actually very good against tight ends. The Buccaneers rank as the tenth-hardest defense against the position, only allowing tight ends to score about nine points per week. But here’s the thing: it doesn’t matter for Trey McBride. He’s going to get hyper-targeted as he has been this season. Right now, he’s averaging nearly ten targets per game. Yes, ten! If Jacoby Brissett continues that trend this week, and he almost definitely will, there’s no doubt in my mind that Trey McBride will continue his onslaught and wind up as a top five tight end yet again.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
