We are near the holiday season and the end of the DFS season. The playoffs are just about set in the NFL, and these next three weeks will be pivotal for seeding. That means big-time players making big-time plays, and we want to capitalize on that!

Let’s dive into our Week 16 must-picks for NFL DFS and FastDraft Flex Six Frenzy.

Week 16 NFL “FastDraft Flex Six Frenzy” Lineup Advice (2025) | NFL DFS Picks

De’Von Achane (RB, Miami Dolphins)

The Miami Dolphins are going through a quarterback change this week. Tua Tagovailoa is getting thrown to the bench and sliding all the way down to QB3 on the depth chart. That means Quinn Ewers is about to take over under center. Although I already had running back De’Von Achane as a smash play this week, the quarterback change was just the icing on the cake. By now, you all know that Achane is incredible when he gets the ball in his hands, whether that be on the ground or through the air. But now with Ewers getting the start, I expect an even heavier dose of Achane. There is a genuine chance that Achane gets ten targets through the air this week, as he’s already averaging nearly six per game. Moreover, if Ewers struggles and wants to get something going, he might be dumping it off to Achane a lot.

On top of that, you guessed it, De’Von Achane’s matchup is the best in fantasy football! The Miami Dolphins host the Cincinnati Bengals, who are still dead last against fantasy running backs. Giving up nearly 30 points per game to the position, it’s a no-brainer to go after Achane. You’ll pay up in DFS or draft him early in your Flex Six Frenzy, no doubt. But the payback you get might be worth it, as he could easily finish the week as the RB1 overall.

Bijan Robinson (RB, Atlanta Falcons)

Running back Bijan Robinson returned to form last week, finishing as the RB4 after a disappointing Week 14 against Seattle. That’s largely in part to what he’s been able to do through the air. Last week, Robinson had 11 targets and caught eight of them for 82 yards receiving. But he also put up 94 yards on the ground and a touchdown. That is what the Falcons need to do: go through the best player they have. If the Falcons want to finish out the year strong, despite being eliminated from the playoffs, their stud back needs to be the focus.

Robinson will get some major help this week as well with his matchup. The abysmal Arizona Cardinals seem to love watching the opposing running back have massive days. Not that he needs the help, but considering he’s facing the fifth-easiest matchup for fantasy running backs, it would be a shame to miss the opportunity. Like De’Von Achane, you’ll pay up for him. But it’s hard not to want Bijan Robinson on your team this week, especially considering the defense he’s going against.

Ladd McConkey (WR, Los Angeles Chargers)

My little Ladd is back in the article! The last two weeks have been real rough for Ladd McConkey, finishing as the WR79 and WR82. Disgusting. The defenses he’s faced haven’t helped the matter, and the Chargers’ offense was winning without needing to throw the ball much. However, this week, McConkey’s arrow is blasting upward. This is a big game for the Chargers; if they win, they basically lock themselves into the playoffs. So why am I so bullish on McConkey this week?

The reason you seek is the Dallas Cowboys defense. It’s been 15 weeks, people! If you haven’t figured out by now that this is the defense to target against wide receivers, then I can’t help you. It works. They stink all around, but their specialty is letting the ball get ripped through the air against them. Enter Ladd McConkey. Facing the best matchup for fantasy wide receivers is an early Christmas gift if you ask me. Their average of 34.6 points per game allowed to WRs will be on display this Sunday. McConkey may not get all of them, but he is going to have a great game.

D.K. Metcalf (WR, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Look, I know it’s been a tough season if you invested in D.K. Metcalf as I did in fantasy football. But I’m telling you that this Sunday looks really bright. Not to mention, in three of the last four weeks, Metcalf finished as the WR21 or better. The Pittsburgh Steelers just don’t utilize him as much as we thought they would. But that doesn’t change the fact that he’s had 20 targets the last three weeks. He only had three this past Monday Night against the Dolphins, but he did manage to get one of those into the endzone.

I know it’s a tough sell. But the big selling point is the “Motor City Kitty” secondary. Yes, I’m referring to the Detroit Lions, who, much like the Dallas Cowboys, give up an astronomical number of points to the wide receiver position. Don’t you think that Head Coach Mike Tomlin realizes that the way to beat the Lions is to shut down running back Jahmyr Gibbs and throw the ball all over their defense? The Lions are the second-easiest matchup for wideouts, and they give up an average of 33.7 points per game. That’s a lot, and I don’t think old man Adam Thielen or Marquez Valdes-Scantling will eat into it too much. Start D.K. Metcalf in DFS.

Darren Waller (TE, Miami Dolphins)

I get it. You are worried because of Tua Tagovailoa being benched and the fact that I highlighted De’Von Achane in the first part of the article. Don’t worry. A lot like Achane, I think quarterback Quinn Ewers will lean on Darren Waller this game. The un-retired rapper has finished inside the TE6 in three of the seven games he’s played with the Dolphins this season. This past week, he found the endzone twice, and that’s not the only time he’s done that this season; Waller scored two touchdowns in his Week 4 Dolphins’ debut. Cincinnati will try to get to Ewers, and I think he will dump it off to Waller just as much as Achane.

Cincinnati’s defense against the tight end position stinks just as much in Week 16 as it did in Week 1. They let TEs score an average of 19.8 points per game. For those keeping score at home, that’s the easiest matchup in fantasy football for the position. I think this Bengals defense makes quarterback Quinn Ewers look like a stud, and I think a lot of that will be on the shoulders of Darren Waller and De’Von Achane.

Kyle Pitts (TE, Atlanta Falcons)

Do you see a pattern here? I love targeting the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins defenses this week. And as far as Falcons players go, I especially like Kyle Pitts. Which is odd, because to be honest, I never really have been a believer in him. This guy goes from complete fantasy hibernation to blowing up for 40 points last week against the Buccaneers. Now, I do not expect him to repeat that performance. Doing so would be living in a false reality. But I am expecting quarterback Kirk Cousins to continue feeding him and displaying the chemistry they clearly have with him under center.

Not only does Pitts have great chemistry with Cousins, but he has a great matchup. Now it’s not as great as Darren Waller, but the Arizona Cardinals aren’t great against tight ends. They’re allowing the position to score 12.3 points per game, a number I highly expect Pitts to smash the over on. You can’t not be intrigued with Pitts in DFS this week after last week’s performance. Again, it’s unlikely he’ll replicate that, but he should finish as a top-five tight end this week.
