Week 7 NFL DFS Picks & Lineup Advice (2025) | FastDraft Flex Six Frenzy

by James Danielson

Make it stop! Someone get bubble wrap and send it to the NFL because here we are heading into Week 7 and the injury plague continues. If anyone else gets hurt, we aren’t going to have fantasy football and DFS anymore. Maybe I’m over exaggerating a little, but it’s been rough to say the very least. As always, we need to pivot.

You know the saying, “When one door closes, another one opens.” Well, that rings true this week. People are getting hurt and slamming the door shut on their NFL season. But the good news is that a door is opening, and we get a big name returning this week. That name, who will be disclosed later on, is a player I’m featuring to have a big week upon his return. So, let’s get into Week 7 of the NFL and break down who I think should be in your DFS and FastDraft Flex Six Frenzy lineups this weekend.

Week 7 NFL “FastDraft Flex Six Frenzy” Lineup Advice (2025) | NFL DFS Picks

Quinshon Judkins (RB, Cleveland Browns)

The truth of the matter is the Cleveland Browns stink. Their rookie quarterback, Dillon Gabriel, stinks. Their passing game as a whole stinks. It’s all just a huge wheel of smelly Limburger Cheese. However, there is one shining light in the pantry that holds the cheese and that would be rookie running back Quinshon Judkins. He has passed the eye test, and aside from last week’s abysmal game by the Browns, he’s finished as the RB12 or better in three out of their five games. Last week, they ran into a stout Pittsburgh Steelers defense, one that specializes in stopping the run. But this week, you need to have Judkins in lineups as he takes on the Miami Dolphins.

To be generous, the Dolphins have been terrible against the run this season. They love watching running backs tear them apart, both on the ground and through the air. Going into Week 7, they rank as the fifth-easiest matchup for fantasy running backs. Allowing a staggering 25.9 points per game to the running back, I think the Browns turn to Judkins to run all over the Dolphins and take the pressure off of Dillon Gabriel. It would make a lot of sense. Last week, the Dolphins let not the first-string, nor the second, but the third running back on the Los Angeles Chargers depth chart go off. That back, Kimani Vidal, ran for 124 yards and added a receiving touchdown. Plug Quinshon Judkins in your lineup and watch the magic happen.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB, Washington Commanders)

Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Before I start, I want to be completely transparent with you. I’m not a Jacory Croskey-Merritt truther, or “Bill” to those who see him as their fantasy football darling. Historical data has shown that seventh-round rookie running backs just don’t make it in the NFL. The percentage of seventh-rounders even making the team sits at 30%, per Sports Illustrated. Yet here we are in Week 7 and I’m featuring the rookie back in my “must starts” for DFS. But really, it’s not so much an endorsement for Bill this week; this is very much matchup-related. It’s not that I don’t think Croskey-Merritt can’t get it done this week, because I think he can and will. It’s the long term I worry about.

But this isn’t about the long term today! This is about Week 7 and how Jacory Croskey-Merritt and the Washington Commanders face off against the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t know about you, but I actually love Cowboys Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones because he has single-handedly made the best fantasy football defense to pick on. By now, I’m like a broken record, but the Cowboys are the defense you want to target. They’re the third-easiest matchup for fantasy running backs, allowing nearly 27 points per game to the position. Rico Dowdle ran all over the Cowboys last week. I’m not saying Bill goes for 239 scrimmage yards like Dowdle, but it’s hard not to love the Commanders’ rookie this week in this matchup.

Rashee Rice (WR, Kansas City Chiefs)

Remember when I said there’s a door that’s opening back up? Rashee Rice is behind it. The six-game suspension has been served and Kansas City Chiefs stud wide receiver returns. As far as fantasy football and DFS go, it couldn’t have happened at a more perfect time. The Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, is balling out, currently the QB1 overall in fantasy and the highest-scoring player across all positions. They seem to be firing on all cylinders minus the run game, which is a perfect recipe for Rice’s return.

What’s even better is that Rashee Rice and the Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders, who can’t play defense against the pass. The Raiders’ defense is the sixth-easiest matchup through six weeks heading into Sunday, and you can bet your bottom dollar Head Coach Andy Reid knows it. I fully expect Reid to draw up plays early and often to get Rice acclimated quickly. The returning star should be a focal point of the game, and with the way Mahomes is throwing the football, it might be a huge first week back. On average, the Raiders are allowing fantasy wide receivers to score 30.8 points per game. If that doesn’t entice you to put Rashee Rice in your lineup, then I’m not sure what will.

Courtland Sutton (WR, Denver Broncos)

Last week was awful, let’s get that out of the way right now. The Denver Broncos couldn’t do anything right through the air. I don’t know if it was the London atmosphere, jet lag, Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner or just them playing down to the New York Jets’ level. Whatever it was, it stunk, and redemption must be had. I think it may happen right away and it can’t be worse than the 2.7 points wide receiver Courtland Sutton had in Week 6. Nothing the Broncos did worked well, and as much as it pains me to say positive things about Head Coach Sean Payton, he’s too smart to let that happen two weeks in a row. He knows Sutton is their best weapon through the air, and he has a young quarterback who can sling it in Bo Nix.

Thankfully, they’re back home this week and face off against the New York Giants to complete the New York game set. While the Giants are turning a corner with their team’s offense, led by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, their defensive secondary has questions. Ranked as the third-easiest match-up for fantasy wide receivers, it should be an arrow pointing up for Courtland Sutton and the passing game. The Giants have been better against the run, and I think Sean Payton will look to exploit the secondary to get Bo Nix and company back on track. That means Courtland Sutton should be targeted quite a bit, and hopefully he’ll find the endzone!

Dallas Goedert (TE, Philadelphia Eagles)

While the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense has been exposed to scrutiny in the first six weeks of the season, it’s hard to ignore what tight end Dallas Goedert has been up to. He has easily been the favorite target of quarterback Jalen Hurts and besides Hurts himself, the tight end has been the one scoring all the touchdowns. Goedert has five receiving touchdowns, while wide receivers DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown and running back Saquon Barkley all have one each. Goedert is making the most of his targets, it seems, and it is working. In the last two games, he had a combined 20 targets, 12 receptions, 129 yards and two touchdowns. Those are stellar stats from the big man.

This week, the Eagles take on the Minnesota Vikings, who are middle of the pack against fantasy tight ends. They’re currently allowing 11.2 points per game to the position, so nothing outstanding by any means. However, the Vikings are the hardest defense for wide receivers to score on. They only allow the wide receiver position to score an average of 15.7 points per game. That should mean another big week for Dallas Goedert if Jalen Hurts can’t get passes to his wideouts.

Trey McBride (TE, Arizona Cardinals)

I’m bringing back Cardinals tight end Trey McBride this week. Last week was a ton of fun to watch. Maybe getting rid of quarterback Kyler Murray could solve the Cardinals’ problem. No, but maybe? In all seriousness, backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett played well. He apparently really likes Trey McBride, as he should. Last week with Brissett under center, the tight end was targeted 11 times and caught eight of those targets for 72 yards and a touchdown. That was enough for him to finish the week as the TE2.

This week will be another great matchup for McBride. There are many things that the Green Bay Packers do really well on defense, but covering the tight end isn’t one of them. Right now, the Packers rank as the fourth-easiest matchup for the position in fantasy football. They’re averaging about 13.5 points per game, and that should have McBride pumped. Whether it’s Murray or Brissett under center remains to be seen, but ether way, I honestly don’t think it matters this week when the matchup is this good.
