Fantasy Football Advice: Week 6 Mailbag

If I’d Trade Davante Adams or CeeDee Lamb, What Players Should I Target in Return? – @Jzamudio2

When considering trading away star players like Davante Adams or CeeDee Lamb, it’s crucial to ensure you receive fair value in return. Let’s break down the potential trade options for both players.

Davante Adams had a somewhat underwhelming performance in Week 5, catching all four targets for 45 yards. However, it’s important to note that he wasn’t at 100% and was used more as a decoy. Despite this, Adams is currently the Points Per Reception (PPR) WR9, averaging 19.8 fantasy points per game. This average even includes the game where he was catching passes from rookie QB Aidan O’Connell. He’s still a WR1 and should command fair value in any trade. Notably, Adams leads the league in red zone targets with 11, highlighting his importance in the Raiders’ offense. Our fantasy football advice is to hold onto him for now at his low point and trade him at his maximum value after a strong performance if you are steadfast in moving him.

CeeDee Lamb, while somewhat disappointing this season, is still a valuable asset for fantasy teams. He’s currently averaging 14.2 PPR points and sits as the WR16. Importantly, Lamb hasn’t scored less than 8.9 PPR points in any game this season, and he has hit double digits in four of five games. Although his target share has decreased compared to his previous career highs, he still ranks ninth in red zone targets with eight. While he hasn’t converted all of them, as seen in his 37.5% catch rate, the high-value opportunities remain.

After the slew of injuries that’s already hit the position this season, running backs acquire in fantasy football. However, if you’re considering trading CeeDee Lamb for one, you should target players like Travis Etienne or Kenneth Walker. These running backs have promising futures and could provide an RB1 boost to your running back slots. Remember, though, trading star receivers should only be done if you receive an offer that meets their value.
