NASCAR DFS Picks, Tiers & Rankings: 2023 Bass Pro Shops Night Race

Kevin Harvick has three Bristol wins, 22 T10s and 1,209 laps lead. Kyle Busch has the most wins among active drivers at Bristol and 2,592 laps lead. With the track being unique in nature, their pedigree means something.

Chase Elliott leads active drivers in average finish at Bristol (12.3) but has never won here. Meanwhile, since Kyle Larson joined Hendricks Motorsports, he’s won the race and finished fifth. And then there’s Chris Buescher, still a NASCAR DFS value at $9,300 on DraftKings and $22.92 on Fantrax. Buescher won the race last year, led the most laps and had the No. 1 driver rating.

Christopher Bell is a tough driver to trust in NASCAR DFS lineups this week. He won the most recent Bristol Dirt, and most of his advanced metrics from last year’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race rated out No. 1: Total speed rankings (courtesy of ifantasyrace.com), green flag speed and speed late in a run. However, he rarely gets the finishes he deserves.

Brad Keselowski led 21.8% of laps here a year ago and is worth a look at $9,800 on DraftKings and $24.18 on Fantrax. Martin Turex Jr. continues to lead the field with 45.5 NASCAR DFS points per race. You don’t get many opportunities to play him at sub-$9K on DraftKings. He might not have the best track record at Bristol, but he dominated Dover, our closest 2023 comp track.

Driver Cs | Fast Thoughts

Cole Custer took this No. 41 car to a P8 last year. Ryan Preece now drives it, and he has a 12.7 average finish over his last three Bristol starts. Michael McDowell finished P11 last year and is a nice leverage play on DraftKings at just $6,400.

Driver Ds | Fast Thoughts

As mentioned, Custer has been serviceable at Bristol in the past. Now in the No. 51 and at just $5,500 on DraftKings and the $5 minimum on Frantrax, he’s an intriguing NASCAR DFS dart throw. Chase Briscoe was 11th in the total speed rankings in this race last year and is sixth among active drivers in average finish position (13.5), albeit in just two starts.

Driver Fs | Fast Thoughts

Keep considering Carson Hocevar for a salary-relief option, as he’s averaging 14.6 NASCAR DFS points per race. Austin Dillon isn’t a Bristol standout by any means, but he has a 68.8% T20 rate, serviceable at $6,100 on DraftKings and $14.72 on Fantrax. It’s hard to back Justin Haley as he rides out his final outings with Kailig Racing. However, he finished 12th last year and sixth at Bristol Dirt.
