NASCAR DFS Picks, Tiers & Rankings: 2023 Coke Zero Sugar 400

Driver As | Fast Thoughts

Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing dominated the Daytona 500. Chris Buescher led the field in driver rating (109.7), followed by teammate Brad Keselowski (105.2). Together, they led 35% of the laps that day. Martin Treux Jr. is a clear value on DraftKings this week, averaging 49.6 NASCAR DFS points per race and costing just $8,700. The No. 19 car was eighth in average running position (13.1) in the 500 and led 6.1% of laps (fifth most).

Driver Bs | Fast Thoughts

Ryan Blaney has won and scored a T10 in five of his last seven Daytona races. Meanwhile, Team Penske teammate Joey Logano has a 34% T10 rate at Daytona and ranked third in driver rating at the 500. Michael McDowell might be a chalky NASCAR DFS value, but a value nonetheless. The No. 34 was fourth by midrace of the 500, and McDowell has a 25% T10 rate at Daytona. You can do a lot worse at $7,800 on DraftKings and $18.74 on Fantrax.

Driver Cs | Fast Thoughts

Despite crashing out of the Daytona 500, Erik Jones had the second-best total speed ranking (courtesy of ifantasyrace.com). He has also finished 11th or better at five of the other six 2.0-mile-and-above tracks. Winning the Daytona 500 was Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s second victory at the beach, and he’s always a NASCAR DFS asset on superspeedways. Austin Dillon has two Daytona wins of his own and a sharp 45% T10 rate at the track. He might be getting slept on at $7,500 on DraftKings and $15.22 on Fantrax.

Driver Ds | Fast Thoughts

Alex Bowman managed a T5 in the 500 and has a 16.8 average finish at Daytona, the sixth-best among active drivers. Believe it or not, BJ McLeod has two straight T10 finishes in the Coke Zero Sugar 400. The driver and owner of the No. 78 finished 20th at Atlanta II and 18th at Talladega.

Driver Fs | Fast Thoughts

Ryan Preece was second by mid-race of the 500 and posted a surprising 82.7 driver rating, the 11th-highest that day. Josh Berry is back in the car for the No. 42 team. He’s been a NASCAR DFS rockstar, averaging 35.5 points per race. He’s only $5,700 on DraftKings and $5.33 on Fantrax. JJ Yeley mans the No. 51 car for Rick Ware Racing (RWR) again this week. He’s averaged a surprising 23.8 points per race and has one career T10 at Daytona.
