Fantasy Football Week 10 Start Sit Picks: Romeo Doubs + More

Week 10 Shore Thing Sleepers (2023)

by IBT Media Staff

“Shore Thing Sleepers” isn’t your ordinary fantasy football Week 10 start/sit article. Instead, our analyst duo of Seth Woolcock and Eric Romoff highlight lower-valued players that can provide starting-caliber production for a specific week. These are usually players near the end of your bench or even on the waiver wire/free agency. You can catch an additional sleeper pick live at the end of our weekly in-season Friday podcast episode.

Rostership percentages are based on ESPN Points Per Reception (PPR) redraft fantasy football leagues.

Week 10 Start/Sit Consideration: Shore Thing Sleepers

Romeo Doubs (WR, Green Bay Packers) | 40.8% Rostered

As the Green Bay Packers prepare for a Week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, wide receiver Romeo Doubs emerges as a compelling sleeper pick. The Steelers’ defense has been generous to opposing wideouts all season, with at least one WR scoring double-digit PPR points in every game. Doubs, known for his precise route running, perfectly fits the technician profile that troubles the Steelers’ cornerback room.

Boasting an average of 11.4 PPR points and 6.8 targets per game this season, Doubs is a reliable option more weeks than not. In addition, concerns linger about the availability of Packers’ wide receiver Christian Watson. While indications suggest Watson will be good to go, he has had just four fully healthy games this season, raising questions about his full-game durability. Therefore, fantasy managers may approach Doubs with cautious optimism. Head coach Matt LaFleur could strategically manufacture touches for the talented receiver, making Doubs an intriguing Week 10 start/sit consideration. Woolcock

Noah Brown (WR, Houston Texans) | 17.4% Rostered

In Week 9, Noah Brown made a significant impact for the Houston Texans, catching all six targets for an impressive 153 yards and a touchdown, accumulating 27.8 PPR points. As the actual starting slot wide receiver, Brown has stepped back into the role previously occupied by Tank Dell during Brown’s early-season absence. Despite competition for targets, Brown’s performance secured his position as a primary option, especially with Nico Collins and Dameon Pierce both likely sidelined this week.

Facing the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10, Brown’s matchup is favorable. Guarded by nickel cornerback Mike Hilton, who profiles more as a safety, Brown could exploit this mismatch. With C.J. Stroud finding success targeting him, evident in his 129.2 QB rating per target (seventh-best among WRs) and ranking sixth in fantasy points per target at 2.33, Brown’s efficiency is noteworthy.

Given the potential for a high-scoring game against the Bengals, where the Texans may need to air it out to keep pace with Joe Burrow and company, Brown is poised for an uptick in volume. Fantasy managers looking for a Week 10 fantasy football sleeper should keep a close eye on Brown, a receiver who has proven both efficient and productive in recent outings. Romoff
