“Between Bets” is an article series revealing our staff’s best wagers across the NFL, NASCAR and PGA Tour. This edition’s bets feature our favorite wagers for the 2024 AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Kansas is a track similar to Dover in that fluky winners just donโt happen here in the modern era. Itโs also a track that has been dominated by Toyota; theyโve won each of the four Next Gen Cup Series races at this track.
So, of course, I could tell you to drink the juice and get Tyler Reddick (+600), Denny Hamlin (+400) or Kyle Larson (the favorite at +380), but whatโs the fun in that?
Instead, Iโll discuss a trio of longer shots who at least have a better shot at Kansas than they do at most places. This track may represent one of their last, best shots at a victory before the end of the regular season. Consequently, they are likely to pop up more than other drivers each week when considering outright bets.
2024 AdventHealth 400 Betting Picks
Bubba Wallace (+1500)
23XI Racing and Bubba Wallace have become far more consistent in 2024, but that doesnโt mean Kansas isnโt still arguably the teamโs best track. The Alabama native won the fall 2022 race here, playing spoiler in the No. 45 car. He followed that up with a P4 last spring and leading laps before incident in last fallโs race. At +1500 on DraftKings, itโs the joint-best odds you can get on any strong Toyota in the field (sorry, Legacy Motor Club).
Earning consistently good finishes is the next step for Wallaceโs No. 23 team. They have had great runs going in each of the last four races, finishing P4 at Martinsville and P7 in Texas. Still, getting caught up in crashes at Talladega and Dover has made the stat sheet look worse. As long as Wallace can stay out of trouble, it should be another strong day and one worth watching for a trip to victory lane.
Alex Bowman (+2500)
The springtime schedule featured a lot of good tracks for Alex Bowman. Las Vegas, Circuit of the Americas (COTA) and Dover have each produced wins and/or extremely good runs for the No. 48 driver in the past. But looking ahead to the summer months, the tracks that have best suited Bowman and his driving style in the past are quickly becoming fewer and farther between.
The 31-year-old has always been strong at Kansas, leading 107 laps in the fall 2022 race and 63 in spring 2019 when he nearly picked up his first career win. At odds of +2500 on DraftKings, you wouldnโt expect that much value for consistently strong performances at a track. After all, Chevrolet has only won twice at Kansas since 2016, which is a fair reason to give pause on picking any of them to win this weekend.
Bowman has finished top-11 in 10 of 12 races here since joining Hendrick Motorsports (HMS), which includes finishes of second, third and fourth. If he canโt add first to that list this weekend, the sirens may begin to sound in the No. 48 shop.
Joey Logano (+3500)
Ford has yet to win a race in any of the top-three NASCAR series in 2024, hence the larger-than-usual odds for any of them to win. I like Joey Logano’s track history at Kansas enough to shout him out at +3500 on DraftKings.
The No. 22 has a trio of wins at Kansas, most recently in 2020. Itโs long enough ago to begin to lose its relevance, but it was one of the first races to cause major contention for using a strategy that has also attracted controversy following the Dover weekend โ defensive driving and air blocking.
Kevin Harvick ran second that day and had little to no chance of passing Logano for the win, using the same tools that it takes to win in the current setup of the Next Gen car. And itโs not that Logano has been extremely slow at Kansas in the interim, finishing sixth and fifth in last yearโs races here.
