2024 Food City 500 Betting Picks

• Denny Hamlin (+500)
• Brad Keselowski (+1200)
• Kyle Busch (+1200)

Denny Hamlin (+500)

One of the favorites this weekend at Bristol is Denny Hamlin, whose +500 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook are the second-shortest in the field. As Hamlin reminded us last fall, he “beat your favorite driver” to earn his third career win at “The Last Great Colosseum.” Hamlin has 10 T5s at Bristol, has finished T10 in over half of his 33 starts here and finished ninth in the lone concrete Bristol races in 2021 and 2022.

Brad Keselowski (+1200)

Short of the superspeedways, Bristol may be one of Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing’s and Brad Keselowski’s best tracks. The No. 6 led 109 laps in 2022 before a late-race issue gave the win to teammate Chris Buescher. An eighth-place finish in 2023 and a trio of wins here while with Team Penske show that if the owner/driver still has more wins in him, one could come right here at favorable odds of +1200.

Kyle Busch (+1200)

As we continue into the new era of Kyle Busch, some may forget that Bristol was perhaps “Rowdy’s” favorite old stomping ground back in the day. Imagine seeing a +1200 outright line on Busch here at any point before the last season or two; it would be insane!

Busch has won eight times in the Cup Series and 22 times across the top trio of NASCAR series, including weekend sweeps in 2010 and 2017. It’s tough to tell if the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) No. 8 or the Next Gen car truly suits Busch’s dominant Bristol history, but this just feels like too good of an opportunity not to consider.
