Tootsie’s Picks: NFL Week 17 PrizePicks Player Predictions (2023)

by Rachel (@tootsiepop6)

Holy moly. We are at Week 17 of the 2023 NFL season. It’s the championship weekend for most fantasy football leagues. Soon, there will be fewer prop bets as NFL teams get jettisoned out of playoff contention. Let’s soak up all the football goodness and rake in the dough while we can. Here are my best Week 17 PrizePicks predictions.

NFL Week 17 PrizePicks Player Predictions

Baker Mayfield (QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers) MORE Than 235.5 Passing Yards

In his last two games, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield has averaged 332 passing yards. This underestimated player is on fire. This PrizePicks line is set at 235.5, which Mayfield has hit the over in nine of 15 games this season (60% of the time). I don’t know about you, but I always favor an underdog story. Everyone discounted Mayfield coming into this season, including me. The Buccaneers’ offense is stacked with receiving options aplenty for him to fire passes to. They’ll have to keep it poppin to go against the strong New Orleans Saints defense. Join me, and let’s let Mayfield bake. Hit the more button on this prop!

Demarcus Robinson (WR, Los Angeles Rams) MORE Than 31.5 Receiving Yards

The New York Giants have allowed opposing receivers an average of 167.3 receiving yards per game. Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson from the Los Angeles Rams has been striking lately. In his last four games with the team, he’s produced an average of 56.8 receiving yards per game. In addition, his snap percentage has increased exponentially to over 94% in his last two games. Not to mention, quarterback Matthew Stafford’s passer rating has increased significantly over the past couple of weeks. Opportunity will be there for Robinson to smash the over on this low PrizePicks line this week.

Tony Pollard (RB, Dallas Cowboys) LESS Than 14.5 Rushing Attempts

The Detroit Lions’ defense is no joke this season, as it pains this Vikings fan to say. They’ve seen the second-lowest rushing attempts this season at only 17.3 per game from opposing running backs. At this line of 14.5 rush attempts, Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard has hit the under nine of 15 times this season. Running backs Rico Dowdle and Hunter Luepke will also be sprinkled in for the Cowboys’ ground game, so I can’t lean into Pollard having a big rushing day. I’m taking the under on this PrizePicks prop.

Remember, with any PrizePicks play, follow your gut on the lines you agree with. Always play responsibly. And always, always make sure you’re having fun with it!
