Tootsie’s Picks: NFL Week 12 PrizePicks Player Predictions (2023)

by Rachel (@tootsiepop6)

It is Week 12. I can barely comprehend how we are this far into the season. In fantasy leagues, it’s becoming clear who’s in playoff contention and for whom it’s “better luck next year.” How are you faring? In terms of prop betting, we can see players settling into their rhythms on what they’re able to produce, and defenses are telling their stories on what they’re able to stop. Let’s get it at for this week! Here are my best Week 12 PrizePicks predictions.

NFL Week 12 PrizePicks Player Predictions

C.J. Stroud (QB, Houston Texans) MORE Than 275.5 Passing Yards

This week, the Houston Texans are facing the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are allowing an average of 265.9 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. But C.J. Stroud isn’t just any quarterback these days. In the last three games, Stroud has averaged 387.3 passing yards. Two of those games were at home, and this week will also be a home game. This season, Stroud is passing for an average of 339 yards at home games versus 259.4 passing yards at away games. Smash the over on this PrizePicks prop.

Michael Pittman Jr. (WR, Indianapolis Colts) MORE Than 67.5 Receiving Yards

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is averaging 67.7 receiving yards this season. His team is facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who average 198.9 receiving yards allowed to opposing wide receivers. Pittman Jr. had eight receptions in each of his last three games, so I anticipate another strong showing from him with Gardner Minshew at quarterback. Just like feasting at Thanksgiving and indulging in extra helpings of every dish and dessert, let’s say “more” to Pittman Jr.’s receiving yards prop and feast on this PrizePicks line.

James Cook (RB, Buffalo Bills) LESS Than 53.5 Rushing Yards

The Philadelphia Eagles are only allowing an average of 59.8 rushing yards to opposing running backs this season. They are the toughest defense against the run. Isiah Pacheco rushing for 89 yards last week was an anomaly, which can be attributed to the Chiefs’ offense firing on all accounts. Still, I expect the Buffalo Bills to struggle against the Eagles this week. Not to mention, James Cook is splitting carries with the ever-reliable Latavius Murray and mobile quarterback Josh Allen. Anticipate a quiet day for Cook and take the less on this PrizePicks prop.
