NFL Week 3 PrizePicks Player Predictions

Trevor Lawrence (QB, Jacksonville Jaguars) MORE Than 14.5 Rushing Yards

In Weeks 1 and 2, Trevor Lawrence, quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, averaged 23.5 rushing yards. This week, the Jaguars are facing the Houston Texans. Last season, the Texans allowed an average of 17.4 rushing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks.  So far this season, they’ve gotten worse and have allowed quarterbacks an average of 38 rushing yards per game.  I’m easily taking the over on this PrizePicks prop for Lawrence this week.

Hunter Henry (TE, New England Patriots) MORE Than 32.5 Receiving Yards

So far in the 2023 season, Hunter Henry, tight end for the New England Patriots, has averaged 54 receiving yards per game. The Patriots are matched up against the New York Jets this week. With Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed playing on the outside, Mac Jones will want to keep it inside to exploit the linebackers and safeties instead. To go with that, key Jets linebacker Quincy Williams is currently questionable with a knee injury. If he’s ruled out or limited, this will create more opportunity for the Patriots’ tight ends. Henry has been one of the top three receiving options for the Patriots these first two weeks, so I’m smashing the over on the 32.5 receiving yards line offered at PrizePicks.

Derek Carr (QB, New Orleans Saints) LESS Than 245.5 Passing Yards

The New Orleans Saints play the Green Bay Packers this week. Last year, the Pack allowed an average of 208.8 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. So far this season, this average has been 226.5 passing yards. Over his entire career, quarterback Derek Carr has averaged 253.5 passing yards in home games vs. 243.3 in away games. In addition to his worse split in away games, I’m also considering that Carr will be playing at Lambeau Field, which typically is a tough place to play for opposing teams. I anticipate Carr to be limited in the passing attack, so I’m taking the under on his passing yards line this week.

Remember with any PrizePicks play, follow your gut on the lines you agree with. Always play responsibly. And always, always make sure you’re having fun with it!
