Tootsie’s Picks: NFL Week 4 PrizePicks Player Predictions (2023)

by Rachel (@tootsiepop6)

Can we all just shake off the weirdness that was Week 3? Zero RB truthers can rejoice at the monster games by Raheem Mostert, Devon Achane and Zack Moss. Who had that on their Bingo cards? I also never anticipated that in one fantasy football matchup, it would all come down to Tutu Atwell and Puka Nacua to determine if I took the win. The weirdness spilled over into PrizePicks props. Things that should’ve hit just didn’t.

Nothing made sense. But alas, let’s shake that off and come in fresh for this week. Here are my best PrizePicks predictions for week 4! Let’s go!

NFL Week 4 PrizePicks Player Predictions

Adam Thielen (WR, Carolina Panthers) MORE Than 51.5 Receiving Yards

Revenge game narrative #activated. The Minnesota Vikings released Wide receiver Adam Thielen this offseason as part of a salary cap-saving move. As a result, he signed a solid three-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. Thielen had previously played with the Vikings for the first nine years of his NFL career. In his last three seasons with the Vikings, he averaged 52.6 receiving yards per game. Last week with the Panthers, Thielen saw 11 receptions for a total of 145 receiving yards with quarterback Andy Dalton under center.

Rookie quarterback Bryce Young is likely back at the helm after returning from an ankle injury this week, which could affect the offense’s passing game some. However with the momentum gained from last week’s production and coming face-to-face with his former team, Thielen will smash the over on this PrizePicks prop of 51.5 receiving yards. It’s revenge time.

Zach Wilson (QB, New York Jets) LESS Than 174.5 Passing Yards

New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is on the struggle bus. Coming into the season, Wilson was relegated to being the backup quarterback to veteran Aaron Rodgers. As we all know, Rodgers unfortunately experienced a season-ending torn Achilles in week 1.  Here was Wilson’s opportunity to prove he was worth the second-overall draft pick in 2021. In the first three games of this season, he only averaged a meager 155.7 passing yards. This Sunday, the New York Jets will face the tough Kansas City Chiefs defense that has been the fifth-toughest defense against opposing quarterbacks for passing yards.

As silly as it sounds, Taylor Swift could be possibly attending Sunday’s game, so there could be even more incentive for the Chiefs to dominate this game.  Sorry, Wilson. Your time on the struggle bus will continue this week. I’m predicting the under on this PrizePicks line of 174.5 passing yards.

Christian McCaffrey (RB, San Francisco 49ers) MORE Than 81.5 Rushing Yards

To no one’s surprise, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has hit the ground running for another huge season. He’s averaging no small feat of 117.7 rushing yards per game so far this season. The 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals, who are allowing an average of 98 rushing yards to the opposing running backs this season. They allowed a similar average in 2022, as well. Also, remember this is “CMC.” He is elite. Take advantage of this hot PrizePicks line and join me on taking the over of 81.5 rushing yards.

Remember with any PrizePicks play, follow your gut on the lines you agree with. Always play responsibly. And always, always make sure you’re having fun with it!
