The Charlotte ROVAL has been one of the sport’s most unique fall weekends since its debut in 2018. While it allows teams and drivers to be close to home, the chaos on the racetrack leaves drivers anything but at ease.
For the first time, all three series will take on the ROVAL on the same weekend. Add in the fact that it’s an elimination weekend for the NASCAR Cup & Xfinity Series; you’d better make sure you nail those lefts and rights.

Building Our Betting Model
The Charlotte ROVAL is the only current oval/road course hybrid the Cup Series contests. Without a direct comparison, we have to look at road course racing prowess in general in this week’s IBT Betting Model powered by ifantasyrace.com.

Shane van Gisbergen (SVG) has only a 97% IBT Grade to top this week’s projections, about three percentage points lower than I personally expected. Christopher Bell is the only one who comes close; P10 Alex Bowman is a full 30 points below SVG.
With the ROVAL being the season’s last road course race, I’m expecting the expected based on what we’ve seen all season.
2025 Bank of America ROVAL 400 Picks & Predictions
Shane van Gisbergen (-105)
SVG has had nearly a perfect season on road courses this year. He’s won each of the last four in 2025, also earning the top total speed ranking in each of those victories.
The Kiwi’s P2 ranking at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) puts his series-best average rank in that statistic at 1.2. Though he hasn’t won yet at the ROVAL, he hadn’t won at three of the four previous road courses before this year’s Cup races either.
Tyler Reddick (+1200)
Tyler Reddick hasn’t forgotten how to get around a road course either. The three-time road course Cup Series winner probably will need a fourth this weekend to advance in the playoffs.
The No. 45 has been close to the top in total speed rankings this year, earning a P2 at Chicago and P4 at COTA. Reddick finished P3 in both races and has four total T10s on road courses in 2025. At the ROVAL, the California native’s 8.3 average finish is sixth-best in the series, with a best finish of P6.
A.J. Allmendinger (+1600)
A.J. Allmendinger loves nothing more than to play spoiler; he did so in this race in 2023, earning his most recent Cup Series victory. Allmendinger has the best average finish (3.7) here in the Next-Gen era and has led over a quarter of the laps.
The No. 16 has also earned a pair of top 10 total speed rankings this year, coming at Chicago (P5) and COTA (P9). His Chicago finish (P6) is his best of the season on a road course.
