2024 Quaker State 400 Betting Picks: Outrights
Joey Logano (+1000)
I didn’t pick my trio this week with the betting favorites in mind, but it’s no surprise Joey Logano has joint-best odds to win at +1000 on DraftKings. His superspeedway prowess has translated to the new Atlanta, taking home victory in the 2023 spring race. Logano also finished P9 in the new configuration’s debut in early 2022.
Atlanta needs to be a kick in the pants for the No. 22 team’s playoff run. Logano finished P8 at Darlington but was P30 or worse in three of the four prior races. He also hasn’t had consecutive T10s since Richmond and Martinsville in the early spring.
Fortunately, superspeedway-style racing, especially for those strong at it, can be a great equalizer and kickoff.
Kyle Busch (+1000)
Arguably the hottest driver in the field at the moment, Kyle Busch, is also a joint-favorite this weekend at +1000. Though he missed the playoffs, Busch will obviously be motivated to win before season’s end to keep his streak alive.
His No. 8 has had race-winning speed each of the last three weeks, resulting in a pair of runner-up finishes, as well as a P4 finish. That’s the best stretch for “Rowdy” this season, earning three of his total five T5s in 2024.
The reconfigured Atlanta has been good to Busch as well. Obviously, he came within inches of winning in the spring, but he has also finished T10 in the other pair of races here while with Richard Childress Racing (RCR).
Daniel Suarez (+1400)
The most recent Atlanta winner, Daniel Suarez, has joint-fourth-best odds in the series to repeat at +1400 on DraftKings. His victory wasn’t exactly a fluke, either. In four of the five races at the new Atlanta, Suarez has finished inside the top six.
The No. 99 team is also in perhaps its best stretch of the season heading into the playoffs. Prior to a P18 at Darlington and the fire at Daytona, Suarez had finished T10 three races in a row for the first time in 2024.
If Suarez can repeat and earn another Atlanta victory, it would send a wild shockwave into the start of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
