Fantasy Football Quarterback Streamers: Week 7 (2023)

by Stacey Cochran

We have six teams on bye for Week 7, so if you need a quarterback streamer this week, the options are slim. Don’t get me wrong, there are still good quarterbacks available. However, some of the matchups for this week are tough. Let’s take a look at some of the top options.

Each week, we will be looking at players who are rostered in 40% or fewer leagues using ESPN data. Here are our favorite quarterback streamers for Week 7!

Fantasy Football Quarterback Streamers: Week 7 (2023)

Sam Howell (QB, Washington Commanders) | 19.1% Rostered

In his first season as the full-time starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders, Sam Howell has been decent. Namely, in five out of the first six games, Howell has gotten at least 15 fantasy points per game. During the Week 6 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, Howell completed 14 of 23 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns. He finished the day with 18.3 fantasy points. Terry McLaurin is leading the way for the wide receiver corps in Washington and has a 21% target share for the season.

Watch for Howell to continue his strong start against the New York Giants in Week 7. The Giants are giving up 221.8 passing yards and 16.3 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position. Considering that and his solid performance this season, look for Howell to have another great game against the Giants, landing him on the quarterback streamer list yet again!

Baker Mayfield (QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers) | 20.3% Rostered

Week 6 was not a stellar outing for Baker Mayfield. He completed 19 of 37 passes for no touchdowns and one interception for 6.8 fantasy points. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are his top wide receivers, while Rachaad White is leading the running back room. The weapons he needs to succeed look like they are in place.

The Atlanta Falcons travel to Tampa Bay for this NFC South matchup. The Falcons have been allowing 191.2 passing yards and 15.3 fantasy points to the quarterback position.  You can say a lot of things about Mayfield, however, you can’t say he doesn’t give it his all. Look for him to right the ship and have a strong outing against the Falcons.

Derek Carr (QB, New Orleans Saints) | 15.0% Rostered

Derek Carr hasn’t been at 100%. Anytime you are dealing with injuries, you must take time to heal. However, there is no time to heal when you are the starting quarterback. Carr completed 32 of 50 passes for 353 yards, one touchdown and one interception for a total of 16.3 fantasy points in Week 6. Chris Olave has the lead receiving role with a 27% target share for the season, while Alvin Kamara has resumed his normal role as the lead running back, along with a 12.8% target share.

The Jacksonville Jaguars travel to down to the Big Easy for the Week 7 matchup. The Jaguars are surrendering 281.2 passing yards and 19.3 fantasy points to the quarterback position. Carr has enough confidence to share with the entire team. In other words, his confidence won’t be lacking with this Thursday night matchup against the Jaguars.

We have just three quarterbacks listed for Week 7, but several more are available. Take time and check out more at ESPN.com or your league’s platform. Good luck with your quarterback streamers and all your Week 7 matchups!
