Fantasy Football Quarterback Streamers: Week 9 (2023)

Sam Howell (QB, Washington Commanders) | 30.4% Rostered

Coming off his best performance of the season, Sam Howell looks in control to lead the Washington Commanders. Howell completed 39 of 52 passes for 397 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in a Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He finished the day with 30.1 fantasy points. Terry McLaurin leads the team with a healthy 22% target share, while Jahan Dotson has a 17.1% target share.

The Commanders travel to New England to face the Patriots in Week 9. The Patriots are giving up 236.6 passing yards and 14.1 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position. Howell still needs some improvement on avoiding sacks. However, he has scored under 15 fantasy points in two of eight games this season. He should be a solid quarterback streamer yet again for Week 9.

Baker Mayfield (QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers) | 28% Rostered

Baker Mayfield is looking to keep his team in the hunt for the playoffs. However, after a three-game losing streak, he has his work cut out for him in Week 9. This past week, Mayfield completed 25 of 42 passes for 237 passing yards and two touchdowns for a total of 21.4 fantasy points. Both at a 23% target share, Chris Godwin and Mike Evans share the majority if the passing volume for the team.

The Buccaneers travel to Houston to take on the Texans in Week 9. The Texans have allowed 247.6 passing yards and 16.1 fantasy points to the quarterback position. Mayfield has a lot of fight left in him; I would bet on him stepping up this week to get his team back on the winning side.

Derek Carr (QB, New Orleans Saints) | 21.3% Rostered

The Saints have battled back to be tied at the top of the NFC South, and Derek Carr is the one leading them. Carr completed 19 of 27 passes for 310 passing yards, two touchdowns and one fumble in a victory over the Colts in Week 8. He finished the day with 18.3 fantasy points, and Chris Olave is the clear top option on the team with a 28.35% target share.

The Chicago Bears will travel to the Big Easy to take on the Saints for their Week 9 matchup. The Bears are surrendering 269.9 passing yards and 18.1 fantasy points to the quarterback position this season. Carr has continued to heal and get more comfortable in the offense, so grab him for your quarterback streamer and look for him to have a breakout game this weekend.

We have just three quarterbacks listed for Week 9, but several more are available. Take time and check out more at ESPN.com or your league’s platform. Good luck with your quarterback streamers and all your Week 9 matchups!
