Course Overview

  • Le Golf National
  • Paris
  • Par 71
  • 7,174 Yards
  • Bentgrass Fairways
  • Bentgrass Greens

Le Golf National is an accuracy course that challenges golfers with tight landing areas and penal rough. The relatively short distance of the course is offset by these narrow fairways and the presence of water on almost 70% of the holes. Given these conditions, the key to success will be precision both off the tee and on approach shots. The course setup remains somewhat mysterious, as we haven’t seen much of it leading up to the event, which adds an extra layer of intrigue to our PGA DFS strategies.

The forecast calls for potential rain on Thursday morning, keeping the course receptive. Winds are expected to top out around 10 mph, which shouldn’t have a significant impact on play. The projected winning score is -16, and there will be no cut, with a field of 60 players.

During the last Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Xander Schauffele took gold for team USA and is a top contender again this year. Bronze medalist C.T. Pan will also be back after defeating six other players for the tiebreaker.

PGA DFS Strategy

Given the nature of this course and the balanced pricing structure, a small and well-rounded player pool is advisable. The high-tier players provide consistent value, while the mid-tier and low-tier players offer some intriguing options at lower rostership. Emphasize accuracy and approach play in your selections, and don’t be afraid to take a few deeper shots with some of the less-rostered players.
