Farmers Insurance Open 2024 Prop Bet of the Week

3-Leg Finishing Position Parlay

  • Xander Schauffele Top-30 Finish (-300)
  • Collin Morikawa Top-30 Finish (-275)
  • Sungjae Im Top-40 Finish (-250)

At a course like Torrey Pines, where precision and accuracy are more meaningful markers of success than driving distance, we’re looking for golfers who can hit fairways and get up and down when needed. That’s why we’re leaning on three of the game’s most reliable and hottest sticks to see continued success in San Diego.

Xander Schauffele is the tournament favorite for a reason. Playing in his home city, the 20-year-old has finished T3 and T10 in his two outings this season. Dating back to last season, Schauffele finished safely in the top 30 in 19 of the last 23 tournaments he has not withdrawn from. Over the last three seasons, Schauffele has finished T13, T34 and T2 at the Farmers Insurance Open. Coming off The American Express, where he found 73% of Greens In Regulation (GIR), I like him to be in the thick of it come the weekend.

Another California native, Collin Morikawa, enters The Farmers Insurance Open in great form, finishing T5 at The Sentry earlier this month. That makes four straight top-10 finishes for Morikwawa and six straight top-30 finishes. Unsurprisingly, Morikwawa has been on rails here at Torrey Pines, finishing P3 and T21 in his only two career starts. En route to his third-place finish last year, the University of California, Berkley alumnus hit GIR 79.5% of the time and had a formidable 66.7% save percentage. I like him to stay out of trouble this week. If he does find it, expect him to scramble to save par more times than not.

The Sungjae Im train keeps rolling on the West Coast. The South Korean had just four holes at The American Express last week, resulting in a bogey or worse. This is likely thanks to his 83.3% GIR rate and 92.9% driving accuracy. Though he didn’t convert a save last week, we know he can, as evidenced by his perfect save percentage here at Torrey Pines a year ago. The 25-year-old has finished T4, T6, T32 and T36 at the Farmers Insurance Open over the past four seasons, respectively. There’s no reason he shouldn’t find more success by the bay this year.

While it’s not a huge payout for a three-legger, it’s a fine number for three of the world’s hottest sticks to continue to be in the mix.

Parlay odds: +154
