I can hear the doubters already. But hear me out; there’s more than one reason to get ahead of the game.

Why a 2026 Mock Draft?

Many dynasty fantasy football players are knee-deep in 2025 rookie draft prep, finalizing rankings and trade strategies.

You might be looking to move 2026 picks to secure a player in 2025, but what are you really giving up? Maybe you’re into Devy and wondering who’s still stashed or available. Or perhaps, like me, you’re just a fantasy football degenerate, and this is your idea of fun.

Let’s dive into a way-too-early 2026 dynasty mock draft and look at how the 2026 class is shaping up.

Initial Thoughts on the 2026 Class

If you thought the 2025 wide receiver group looked weak, this class doesn’t project to be much better, at least not yet.

Only one receiver feels like a first-round lock right now, with another close behind. As always, players will emerge over the coming season.

Still, this class could be defined by quarterbacks, but with NIL money and the transfer portal in play, some top prospects may opt to stay in school longer.

Notably excluded from this mock draft is Arch Manning. While eligible in 2026, it’s widely believed he’ll stay at Texas and declare in 2027.

First Round 2026 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft

1.01: LaNorris Sellers (QB, South Carolina)

LaNorris Sellers is a dual-threat weapon with massive upside. In a Superflex format, he’s a potential game-breaker.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • Strong arm with deep ball accuracy and touch
  • Dangerous as a runner; racked up 600+ rushing yards in 2024
  • Improved mechanics and decision-making last season
  • Still raw, but the tools are undeniable
  • High fantasy ceiling with Konami-code potential

1.02: Drew Allar (QB, Penn State)

Many thought Drew Allar could’ve been QB1 in the 2024 class if he declared. He’s back for 2025, and the hype is real.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • Prototype size (6-foot-5, 240 pounds) with elite arm strength
  • Showed real growth in pocket presence and poise
  • Over 3,200 passing yards and 26 TDs in 2024
  • High football IQ and excellent anticipation
  • Needs to limit turnovers and improve consistency under pressure

1.03: Jeremiyah Love (RB, Notre Dame)

Jeremiyah Love is one of the few blue-chip skill players in this class and my current RB1.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • 1,100+ scrimmage yards in 2024 despite committee usage
  • Electric acceleration and top-end speed
  • Fluid pass-catcher with soft hands
  • Still developing vision and patience between the tackles
  • Explosive upside in a workhorse role

1.04: Garrett Nussmeier (QB, LSU)

Garrett Nussmeier is a pure pocket passer with big-time production in the SEC.

Stats & Scouting Notes:

  • Excellent timing and rhythm passer
  • Plays with confidence and control under pressure
  • Limited rushing upside but is mobile enough to escape pressure
  • Experience against top-tier defenses is a big plus

1.05: Jordyn Tyson (WR, Arizona State)

Jordyn Tyson was a breakout star in 2024 with WR1 potential in this class.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • 75 catches, 1,101 yards and 10 TDs last season
  • Great hands and body control at the catch point
  • Creates separation with sharp route-running
  • Strong after-the-catch ability with underrated burst
  • Versatile, lining up inside and outside

1.06: Nicholas Singleton (RB, Penn State)

Once hyped as “the next Bijan Robinson,” Nicholas Singleton has seen highs and lows but is back on the rise.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • Averaged 5.4 Yards Per Carry (YPC) with 12 total TDs in 2024
  • Elite burst and home-run speed
  • Better between the tackles than he gets credit for
  • Has shown improvements as a pass-catcher
  • Needs more consistent vision and balance

1.07: Carnell Tate (WR, Ohio State)

Carnell Tate is talented, polished and poised for a 2025 breakout.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • High 4-star recruit with NFL pedigree
  • Crisp routes and reliable hands
  • Smooth mover with natural separation ability
  • Smart, disciplined player who reads coverages well
  • Ready to inherit a bigger role after Emeka Egbuka’s departure

1.08: Antonio Williams (WR, Clemson)

Antonio Williams is a quick, shifty slot receiver with polished footwork. He reminded everyone what he is capable of after an injury-plagued 2023.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • 65+ receptions and 900+ yards in 2024 after return from injury
  • Twitchy and explosive in short areas
  • Works well in space and has excellent vision after the catch
  • Strong hands in traffic for a smaller frame
  • NFL-ready slot weapon with Points Per Reception (PPR) upside

1.09: Darius Taylor (RB, Minnesota)

Darius Taylor is a bellcow back in a run-heavy scheme with three-down traits.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • 1,400+ total yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024
  • Sturdy frame and a punishing running style
  • Soft hands and route versatility out of the backfield
  • High workload could raise injury/durability concerns
  • NFL-ready size and skillset

1.10: Cade Klubnik (QB, Clemson)

Calling my shot:  Cade Klubnik will rise fast. The tools are there, and the late 2024 stretch proved it. I think he’s going to prove all the doubters wrong.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • Over 3,000 total yards with 28 TDs in 2024
  • Dual-threat playmaker with great pocket awareness
  • Sharpened his accuracy and footwork over the year
  • Developing into a vocal leader and command presence
  • Prime 2025 Heisman Trophy sleeper

1.11: Eugene Wilson III (WR, Florida)

Euhine Wilson III is Explosive, agile and dangerous in space. He’ll be back from injury and ready to explode.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • Freshman All-SEC and All-American honors in 2023
  • Missed most of 2024 due to hip surgery
  • Shifty with elite short-area quickness
  • Strong hands and Yards After the Catch (YAC) threat
  • Chemistry with new QB DJ Lagway could fuel a breakout

1.12: Justice Haynes (RB, Michigan)

Justice Haynes is a big-time transfer with a real opportunity to dominate.

Stats & Scouting Notes:
  • Former top recruit from Alabama, now at Michigan
  • Balanced runner with power and patience
  • Excellent receiver that could be a PPR cheat code
  • The opportunity is ripe with Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings gone
  • Should be the go-to option for QB Bryce Underwood

In a year’s time, I wouldn’t be surprised to see these names in a 2026 mock draft.

  • Carson Beck (QB, Miami) – Transfer watch, could rise fast with right system
  • Eric Singleton Jr. (WR, Auburb) – Sleeper breakout candidate
  • Jonah Coleman (RB, Washington) – Versatile and tough, with stock rising

  • Kevin Concepcion (WR, Texas A&M) – Electric playmaker with high upside in a new environment.
