Rostership percentages courtesy of ESPN Points Per Reception (PPR) redraft fantasy football leagues as of Tuesday, Sept. 24.
- Jauan Jennings (WR, San Francisco 49ers) | 36.1%
- Wan’Dale Robinson (WR, New York Giants) | 14.8%
- Quentin Johnston (WR, Los Angeles Chargers) | 42.7%
- Andrei Iosivas (WR, Cincinnati Bengals) | 7.1%
- Jalen Nailor (WR, Minnesota Vikings) | 4.0%
- Allen Lazard (WR, New York Jets) | 34.2%
Calvin Austin (WR, Pittsburgh Steelers) | 0.1%
Calvin Austin flashed big play potential this past week, posting four catches for 95 yards and a touchdown, which netted him 20 Points Per Reception (PPR) fantasy points. While this could be a one-off, the third-year wideout’s speed (4.32 40-yard dash, 99th percentile) gives hope that he can keep it up. Austin missed his rookie season due to a foot injury and recorded just 17 receptions last season, but he now he finds himself in a good situation.
The Steelers only had four active wide receivers in Week 2, with Van Jefferson leaving the game due to injury, allowing Austin to step up. He’s lined up in the slot on just over half of his snaps, giving him the potential to challenge Jefferson for the flanker role in two-wide sets.
The Steelers take on the Colts next, who rank near the bottom in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. He’s worth a speculative add and could be a bye-week filler if his role continues to grow.
Xavier Legette (WR, Carolina Panthers) | 20.0%
Antonio Gibson (RB, New England Patriots) | 31.7%
Antonio Gibson’s dual-threat ability could make him a huge fantasy asset, particularly in PPR leagues. With a history as a receiver in college, Gibson excels in the passing game and has consistently shown a knack for explosive plays. His role could grow if Rhamondre Stevenson, who was banged up in Week 3, misses time or is limited.
Gibson’s ability to contribute as both a runner and receiver makes him worth the pickup, especially considering his potential to deliver big gains in an offense that may be forced to rely on the short passing game.
