Stock car racing’s premiere series hits back-to-back superspeedways as the sport touches down in Atlanta, home of the reconfigured intermediate that races like a drafting track. Make the most of the 2024 Ambetter Health 400 with our NASCAR DFS picks and tiers.

We reveal our “Tire Tiers” and betting cards live every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. EST on our YouTube series, “The Backroad.” Be sure to tune in, enjoy the race and reach out if you have any questions.

NASCAR DFS Picks, Tiers & Rankings: 2024 Ambetter Health 400

Driver As | The Elites

Kyle Busch represents the best value across platforms this week at just $9,700 on DraftKings and $21.71 on Fantrax. “Rowdy” was No. 1 in driver rating at Daytona last week and has finished inside the T10 in both his Atlanta starts with Richard Childress Racing (RCR). While a bit more expensive, William Byron is worth it, coming off his Daytona 500 victory. The No. 24 car has found victory lane twice since Atlanta has been reconfigured and is No. 2 in the Atlanta Next Gen total speed rankings (courtesy of ifantasyrace.com).

Ryan Blaney won stage one in our latest Atlanta race and last week at Daytona. He’ll be a factor, looking for his fourth straight T10 in the state of Georgia. Christopher Bell should also again be circled for NASCAR DFS purposes, coming off a P3 at Daytona and sporting the best Atlanta Next Gen total speed ranking.

Driver Bs | Point-Getters

Both Legacy Motorsports drivers, Eric Jones and John Hunter Nemechek, are coming off T10s at Daytona and should be heavily considered again this week. Jones has finished 14th or better in all his Atlanta races. Meanwhile, Nemechek finished inside the top 10 in all three appearances at Atlanta last year, albeit in different series (one Truck Series start and two Xfinity Series starts).

Though his finishes in the ATL don’t reflect it, Alex Bowman is a NASCAR DFS value this week at $8,200 on DraftKings and $18.35 on Fantrax. The No. 48 car finished runner-up in the 500 and is seventh in the Atlanta Next Gen total speed rankings. His Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott is third in those same rankings and has two T10s in three races at the new-look Atlanta, including a win in July 2022.

While Joey Logano also has a win here at the superspeedway version of Atlanta, his price is juiced this week, especially on DraftKings at $10,300. I’ll likely avoid him at that margin.

Driver Cs | In the Mix

Bubba Wallace will likely be chalky again this week after a T5 at Daytona last week. However, the driver of the 23XI Racing No. 23 Chevrolet has not enjoyed the same success at the superspeedway version of Atlanta, never finishing better than P13. Instead, may I interest you in Corey Lajoie at $6,800 on DraftKings and $15.19 on Fantrax? He has two T10 finishes in the last four Atlanta races. This does not include the summer 2022 race, in which he almost won but hit the wall while leading.

Oddly enough, Austin Cindric is also a great option this week. He has ranked inside the top six of the driver ratings in the last two trips to Atlanta, finishing no worse than 12th in that span. Daniel Suarez has also finished P6 or better in three of the four races on the new configuration and could be a NASCAR DFS leverage option at $7,300 on DraftKings and $17.37 on Fantrax.

Driver Ds | Could Do Worse

Noah Gragson scored a solid T10 in the 500 last week. Aric Almirola used to have success qualifying in the No. 10 car at superspeedways. Perhaps Gragson can do the same this weekend. Zane Smith scored 32 NASCAR DFS points in the 500 and will once again be an interesting pay-down play at $5,700 on DraftKings and the $5 minimum on Fantrax.

Driver Fs | The Junk Drawer

This is another race that has a ton of great low-cost options. Therefore, I highly advise not dipping into the F-Tier this week. If you’re desperate, Carson Hocevar should rebound from a lineup-cratering P40 last week. Given Spire Motorsports’ success here with Lajoie, Hocevar might find speed.
