3M Open 2024 Prop Bet of the Week
Keith Mitchell: Top-10 Finish (+300)
The PGA Tour heads to Minnesota, as TPC Twin Cities plays host to this event for yet another year. It presents a fair test of golf and has put on some great finishes over the years. This course favors players who can set themselves up well off of the tee and gain strokes on approach. These two metrics allow them to set up birdies, but bogeys are also easy to find here, which is why I’m also taking bogey avoidance into account.
Keith Mitchell is having a spectacular season and isn’t being talked about enough. This course calls on his strengths from this year. Plus, overall, he hasn’t shown many statistical weaknesses.
In 2024, Mitchell ranks fifth on Tour in shots gained off the tee, sixth in shots gained on approach, fifth in birdie average, 26th in bogey avoidance, fifth in Par-5 scoring average and 13th in Par-4 scoring. These are all metrics I am weighing heavily this week, and I am huge on Mitchell. In what is already a weaker field, I expect one of the strongest players on Tour to compete here and find a quality finish at the 3M Open.
