Week 10 is here! There were some great games this past week, including ones that came down to the wire. There were also some stand-out performances in daily fantasy that either helped you win it all or crushed your soul. It’s time to take a look at the upcoming week’s NFL DFS main slate and get a winning lineup set.

Week 10 NFL DFS Picks & Lineup Advice (2024)

Quarterback

Sam Darnold (Minnesota Vikings) | $6,200

Look, there’s a ton of Sam Darnold haters out there. But the truth is, Darnold has been good in Minnesota. He has found a home, and head coach Kevin O’Connell has unlocked him in a sense. He’s the QB12 on a points-per-game basis and is tied for the fourth-most touchdowns thrown with 17. It also helps to have one of the best wide receivers in the league, Justin Jefferson, to throw to.

Darnold takes on the Jaguars this week, who’ve been very giving to fantasy quarterbacks. They currently rank as the second-easiest matchup for the position. Jacksonville is allowing quarterbacks an average of 24.1 points per game. That’s a number Darnold is yet to hit, but if it’s going to hit it at some point, this is the week.

He’s extremely affordable on DraftKings at $6,200. You save on the position to spend elsewhere and get the probability of him having a great game. It seems like a win.

Running Back

D’Andre Swift (Chicago Bears) | $6,500

The Bears are kind of a mess at the moment, and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams hasn’t been producing as much as they’d hoped. But this weekD’Andre Swift has a great matchup against New England. The Patriots have allowed the sixth-most rushing yards through nine weeks and the 11th-most rushing touchdowns. That’s right; there’s enough to sway me to put Swift into an NFL DFS lineup. With a struggling passing attack, the Bears should lean on Swift in a must-win situation.

The Georgia product has been very consistent. He’s scored 20+ Points Per Reception (PPR) points in four of the last five games. Swift has topped out at 29.5 points in those games, so the ceiling is definitely there. The Bears are favored by six in this predicted low-scoring affair. That seems like a perfect recipe for Swift to have a solid game.

Wide Receiver

Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings) | $8,800

Time for some expensive low-hanging fruit. Typically, the point of this article is to avoid the more expensive players and give the reader cheaper options that can outperform the expensive ones. But this week, the Darnold/Jefferson stack is one that can’t be ignored. At a whopping $8,800, you’re spending a large part of your NFL DFS budget, but it should be worth it.

Jefferson continues showing weekly why he’s the best receiver in the game, even with Darnold at quarterback. In the eight games played so far this season, Jefferson has missed the 20-point mark twice. In both of those games, he scored just over 15 points. So even his “bad” games aren’t that bad.

The opportunities will be there on Sunday, as the Jaguars are giving up a ton of points to the wide receiver position. They are fifth in points-allowed to wide receivers, allowing an average of 32.4 points per game. This could end up as an absolute smash spot for Jefferson come Sunday.

Tight End

Hunter Henry (New England Patriots) | $3,900

There hasn’t been a ton to celebrate when it comes to the Patriots’ offense this season. But one thing is certain:  Quarterback Drake Maye seems to like throwing to Hunter Henry. In the three games with Maye, Henry has had at least five catches. He’s totaled 23 targets in that span, and chasing targets is one stat that tends to stick with tight ends. The landscape has been weak all season. So, in NFL DFS, it’s a good idea to go after a tight end that is getting opportunities.

As noted, the Patriots and Bears square off in Week 10, and this could be a low-scoring contest. Chicago is a bottom-12 team against tight ends. So why wouldn’t Drake Maye continue to target his big-bodied tight end in a game against a defense that struggles against them? It sure seems like a good strategy.

Defense/Special Teams

Philadelphia Eagles D/ST | $3,500

The Eagles head to Dallas to take on a beaten-down Cowboys team. Dallas will be without Dak Prescott. Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is also dealing with an AC Joint injury. That’s possibly two major blows to the Cowboys’ offense. And even if Lamb plays, how much?

Regardless, it’ll be Cooper Rush under center. Targeting D/STs that play backup quarterbacks rarely fails in fantasy football. The Eagles will be doing everything they can to get after Rush, and they should be a lock for a great game on Sunday.
