FedEx Cup Fall Player of the Week: Maverick McNealy (+2500 Outright; +500 Top-5)
Maverick McNealy is a prior winner on the PGA Tour and enjoyed a nice 2024 season. His four T10 finishes were marked by improved ball striking and an evergreen putting stroke. It will require a hot putter to win at El Cardonal, a par-72 resort course designed by Tiger Woods. The course is set up well for McNealy, who is joined by only a handful of golfers who have hoisted a trophy at this level.
Converting on chances is the key to resort golf, especially since the fairways on this 7,300-yard track are so inviting off the tee. Should this become a putting contest, McNealy is the one golfer I would love to have in my corner and on my betting slip.
