FedEx Cup Fall Player of the Week: Kurt Kitayama (+3000 Outright; +600 Top-5)
Kurt Kityama, a Vegas native and Vegas resident, has a home course advantage this week and is used to playing at altitude in these conditions. TPC Summerlin is a course he frequents in the offseason and fits his game very well. Kitayama is very strong around the greens and is among the longest drivers in this field.
He has scored lower than the tournament average in three of his last five tournaments, including one finish within five strokes of the leaders. Kityama is 38th on Tour in strokes gained off the tee, which should help set him up for well-positioned approach shots here. If he can figure out some of his putting woes, he could go low here at the Shrines Children’s Open.
