Sony Open in Hawaii 2024 Prop Bet of the Week

Eric Cole: Top-20 Finish (+150) & Justin Rose: Top-20 Finish (+175)

Waialae Country Club calls for good iron play. I noticed a strong correlation between previous winners of this event, particularly in two major categories. What almost all of the previous winners at this course had in common were above-average rankings in Approaches from 150-175 yards and Strokes Gained Around-the-Green, in their respective years. Most of the par-3’s play between 175-200 yards, so being good in that area wouldn’t hurt here either.

These players check all of the boxes to be able to have success here. In addition to setting up well for this course, they are both riding a heat wave coming into this event. Eric Cole Finished T14 last week at The Sentry and has T5 finishes in four of his last five events prior to that. Justin Rose isn’t playing too shabby himself, tying the course record last Sunday with a ho-hum 61.

Last year’s data has Cole ranking 35th in Approaches from 150-175, 22nd in Approaches from 175-200 and 16th in Strokes Gained Around-the-Green. Rose ranked 13th in Approaches from 150-175, 17th in Approaches from 175-200 and 20th in Strokes Gained Around-the-Green.

I couldn’t decide between one this week, so I am playing them both. I look for both Cole and Rose to be in the mix and possibly contend for the win at the Sony Open in Hawaii 2024.
