Valero Texas Open 2024 Prop Bet of the Week
Aaron Rai: Top-10 Finish (+575)
This week, we head to TPC San Antonio, and so does the wind. Thursday and Sunday may be relatively calm. However, the winds that are anticipated on Friday and Saturday should present a test for the field.
Some statistical metrics that are highlighted this week are Proximity to the hole from the fairway and SG: Approach to the Green. In 2024, Aaron Rai ranks 22nd and 19th on Tour in these categories. In the prop market this week, I’m looking for someone who won’t be as impacted by the wind relative to the field, whose game fits the course and who is hot coming into this event.
Some of Rai’s best finishes have come in blustery conditions, including a win and a third-place finish in Scotland and a second in Ireland back in 2020. Rai checks all of the boxes, as he finished T7 last week at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. His odds are too good to pass up this week.
