The Genesis Invitational 2024 Prop Bet of the Week

Justin Thomas: Top-10 Finish (+165)

A great approach game is one of the best attributes a player can bring to Riviera Country Club. Justin Thomas is notorious for being elite with his approaches. The key metrics that I have highlighted in addition to approach this week are par 4 scoring, scoring average, strokes gained and bogey avoidance. Although he is coming off of a year that even he has considered below standard, it appears he is returning to form this year.

Albeit a small sample size so far in 2024, we have seen the “Thomas of old.” Through the three events he’s played this year, he ranks 17th on Tour in approach, fourth in par 4 scoring, second in scoring average, eighth in total strokes gained and third in bogey avoidance. In those three events, he finished T3, T6 and T12.

That, in conjunction with his course history here, was enough for me to see the value in this number. His most notable finishes here include a sixth-place finish in 2022, second in 2019 and T9 in 2018. He’s made me a believer. I look for Thomas to work his way up the leaderboard again this week.
