Xander Schauffele: Top-20 Finish (+110)
The PGA Tour’s “fifth Major” is here. At courses of this difficulty, the cream rises to the top. Some key metrics that have helped previous winners and contenders of this event find success here include strokes-gained total, birdie-or-better rate from the fairway, strokes-gained approach and par-5 scoring average. In 2023, Xander Schauffele ranked third, first, third and 16th in these categories.
He has four T10 finishes through six tournaments played so far in 2024. At a course where I fully anticipate the best players in the world to hog the top of the leaderboard, give me the current sixth-ranked golfer in the world to find a top-20 finish here for the second straight year.
