2024 NFL Futures: PrizePicks Player Predictions

Caleb Williams (QB, Chicago Bears) MORE Than 22.5 Passing TDs

Taken as the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is surrounded by buzz and projections. In his 2023 season at USC, Williams passed for a total of 30 touchdowns. Over his entire college career, he averaged 2.5 passing touchdowns per game.

Williams is joining a significantly improved Bears offense with a receiving corps that includes D.J. Moore, newly acquired Keenan Allen and rookie talent Rome Odunze. The team also has the reliable Cole Kmet at tight end and brought in Gerald Everett over the offseason.

Brimming over with receiving options, Williams will have no problem exceeding this line of 22.5 passing touchdowns over the season.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Arizona Cardinals) MORE Than 5.5 Receiving TDs

In both 2022 and 2023, Marvin Harrison Jr. scored 14 receiving touchdowns at Ohio State. This line of 5.5 receiving touchdowns on the season is abysmally low. Harrison Jr. will be joining a team with quarterback Kyler Murray at the helm, who, over his 65-game career, averaged 1.5 passing touchdowns per game. Figuring to be the WR1 on the team, Harrison Jr. will mostly contend with rising star tight end Trey McBride for targets.

This Arizona Cardinals’ offense is primed to have a good season this year, with Harrison Jr. receiving passes from a healthy Murray. Smash the over on this prediction before PrizePicks wises up and raises it.

J.J. McCarthy (QB, Minnesota Vikings) LESS Than 2,925.5 Passing Yards

Taken as the 10th-overall pick in the NFL Draft, Michigan talent J.J. McCarthy was snatched up by the Minnesota Vikings as purportedly their next franchise quarterback. McCarthy averaged 2,855 passing yards per year in his last two college seasons.

Despite the excitement surrounding this rookie quarterback, the Vikings also brought in Sam Darnold in the offseason. Darnold was brought in on a one-year deal, so it’s likely he will be used as a bridge quarterback and will start the season. It’s unclear how many games Darnold will be under center, but any games less than a full season support the prediction that McCarthy will have under 2925.5 passing yards on the season.
