PrizePicks, a Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) site, has some crazy good lines for the 2024 NFL season posted. I recently shared some of my favorite 2024 NFL futures PrizePicks player predictions for standout rookie players. I hope you took advantage and scooped them up!
Now it’s time to give attention to the proven and experienced veterans. Let’s dive in and peek at some of my favorite picks that I’m going all-in on for the 2024 season.
2024 NFL Futures: PrizePicks Player Predictions
Raheem Mostert (RB, Miami Dolphins) MORE Than 7.5 Rushing TDs
Despite sharing the backfield with De’Von Achane, Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert proved to be a touchdown monster in 2023. In his 15 regular season games played, Mostert had 209 carries, 1,012 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. This breaks down to 13.9 carries per game and 1.2 rushing touchdowns per game.
Achane, on the other hand, had 9.4 carries and 0.7 touchdowns per game played. There should be an increase in volume for Achane now that he’s going into his second year. Plus, the team just added rookie Jaylen Wright. Still, this doesn’t negate how much the Dolphins love to deploy Mostert in the red zone.
Last season, Mostert had 53 red zone looks across his 15 games played, averaging 3.5 touches inside the 20-yard line per game. On the flip side, Achane had 29 red zone looks, seeing a touch inside the 20 in only eight of his 11 games played. I’m banking on “Must Start” Mostert to once again be a red zone darling. Sure, he may not repeat the 18 this year, but I’m smashing the over on this PrizePicks line of 7.5 rushing touchdowns. Easy.
Dak Prescott (QB, Dallas Cowboys) MORE Than 4,099.5 Passing Yards
In 2023, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had 4,516 passing yards on the season with a 69.5% completion rate. Ranked as the third-best quarterback with these passing yards and his completion percentage, Prescott is being slept on coming into the 2024 season. In 2019, 2021, and 2023, Prescott easily surpassed this NFL futures line of 4,099.5 passing yards, averaging 4,622 over these three years.
The two outlier years of 2020 and 2022 showed a hit in production, but this was because of injuries Prescott suffered (ankle and thumb injuries, respectively).
Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who had 1,749 receiving yards last year, is currently projected as the fantasy football WR1 going into 2024 by both Footballguys and FantasyPros. With Lamb and the rest of the receiver corps, tight end Jake Ferguson and occasional receiving work from Ezekiel Elliott, Prescott should not have an issue beating this line. I’m going all-in on Prescott in 2024.
Jared Goff (QB, Detroit Lions) MORE Than 27.5 Passing TDs
NFL.com’s 203 QB Index ranked Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff as the fourth-best, following only Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Contributing to this ranking, Goff had 4,575 passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns on the season. Ten of these touchdowns went to tight end extraordinaire Sam LaPorta in his rookie season. Another 10 also went to wide receiver powerhouse Amon-Ra St. Brown.
In addition to these elite players, the high-octane Lions offense also has receiver Jameson Williams, who’s looking to prove his worth in his third year, plus ancillary receivers Kalif Raymond and Donovan Peoples-Jones. Second year running back talent Jahmyr Gibbs also looks to get more involved in the receiving game this year.
Coming off winning the NFC North title last season, this offense – with Goff steering the ship – looks to have another successful season. With all these weapons, Goff should have no problem exceeding 27.5 passing touchdowns. Take the more than on this PrizePicks NFL futures line.
