Tour Championship 2024 Betting Picks

Xander Schauffele (+250 With Bonus Strokes & +550 Gross)
Xander Schauffele will win the TOUR Championship. This will be the capper to a great season and an epic battle against Scottie Scheffler for Player of the Year. Schauffele owns East Lake Golf Club, and he is coming in here hotter than he has ever been. He is starting two strokes back of Scheffler, but I like that lead to evaporate before making the turn on Thursday.
We have been high on Schauffele for weeks, citing the immaculate play that is outpacing Scheffler but somehow still being overshadowed. This course requires a solid all-around golf game, and Schauffele just has that over Scheffler right now. He is outpacing him in every category I weighed for this tournament and is No. 1 for shots gained total so far during the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Go lay your bets down, with the bonus +250 and the gross outright +550.
Adam Scott (+2500 Gross)
I would describe Adam Scott coming into East Lake this week as overlooked and underrated. He is playing some of the best golf he has played in recent memory. Scott is fresh off of a T2 at the BMW Championship. He should have won, and if it wasn’t for an out-of-the-ordinary loss of strokes off the tee last week, he would have.
To put that into perspective, Scott rates out second in the field in strokes gained off the tee so far during the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and he lost a stroke in that metric last week. He has been gaining everywhere, and I like the driver to bounce back at East Lake. He has been elite with his irons, and his putter has been nearly perfect going all the way back to the Genesis Scottish Open. The playoffs are a time to ride a hot hand, and the Aussie isn’t showing any signs of cooling off!
Billy Horschel (+3300 Gross)
Billy Horschel is perhaps one of my favorite bets this week. He has come out of seemingly nowhere to make it to the TOUR Championship. He rates out inside the top 12 in every approach stat and is fifth overall for me this week. The off-the-tee game is concerning just because of how fine a line Horschel walks. He is typically nearly flat in that metric, and even when he gets it going, it’s never elite.
What does get nuclear hot is his approach game, and right now, he has it going. His putter held him back a little last week, but Castle Pines wasn’t exactly a Horschel setup. We are getting him back at sea level on Bermuda, where he feels right at home. The former Florida Gator tends to play well in this part of the world, and he’s coming in in better form than we have seen all season. He can’t make up the bonus stroke deficit, but he can certainly make a run for the top gross score!
