The Deep South doesn’t immediately bring to mind professional golf or PGA DFS, but the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Miss., aims to do just that in SEC football country this week. Some of the PGA Tour’s rising stars are in the field looking to bolster their bank accounts and long-term status. Others have ventured abroad to take on the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on the sacred ground in Scotland.
The staunchest of DFS gamers will build lineups around both events, but my main focus will be at Sanderson Farms. There is an edge here that we can take advantage of. True to my word, however, I will provide some bonus picks for the Dunhill Links for you sickos out there!

PGA DFS: Sanderson Farms Championship 2024
My Most-Rostered Player: Nick Dunlap ($9,700)
Sometimes eating the chalk at the top of the board is a shrewd play. In an event without much name recognition among casual fans, Nick Dunlap sticks out like a sore thumb at the sixth-highest salary on the board. He finished 10th at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and fifth at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in the playoffs. His signature performances, however, included a clutch win at the Barracuda Championship in NorCal last July and a romp through The American Express as the first amateur to win on Tour in 33 years.
I’m willing to match the field with up to 30% lineup exposure to Dunlap in large DFS tournament play while maxing out at 50% in single-entry formats. He narrowly missed participating in the Tour Championship as a rookie. There aren’t any more talented golfers in this field, so I’m locking him in.
