This week, we are headed to Japan for the ZOZO Championship at Accordia Golf Narashino Golf Club. The course plays at a par 70, measuring around 7,140 yards. The course is tight and tree-lined, riddled with difficult bunkering and water hazards throughout. The name of the game is ball striking here. The greens tend to play very fair and true. As long as you have accuracy on approach, you should be able to compete.
That said, here are my top PGA DFS picks for the ZOZO Championship 2024.

PGA DFS: ZOZO Championship 2024
My Most-Rostered Player: Xander Schauffele ($11,500)
When it comes to steadfast ball striking, there may be no one better than Xander Schauffele. He has been on an absolute terror the last 18 months, nipping at Scottie Scheffler’s heels the whole way. There is no Scheffler in the field this week which means Schauffele should find no resistance on his way to victory this week. Schauffele hasn’t teed it up since the Tour Championship, where he finished fourth and had a somewhat off week on approach.
We will surely see the iron game bounce back with a vengeance at Accordia. Even with the modeling’s recency bias, Schauffele is inside of the top-six in every category we measured. His stats are from the toughest stretch of the season and the toughest fields. A good chunk of the players in this field have been playing during the wrap around season and are skewing higher as a result. Make no mistake, Schauffele is a class above this field.
My Best-Value Player: Doug Ghim ($8,600)
Dollar for dollar, finding a better value proposition in this field may be tough. Doug Ghim at $8,600 seems a bit criminal for how he’s playing so far this fall. His approach game has been absolutely lethal over the last five tournaments, and he is coming off a second-place finish at the Shriners that saw him gaining 6.7 strokes on approach. Approach game will be absolutely critical at the ZOZO Championship, so I like staying with the hot hand of Ghim.
His putting is the biggest challenge, and that risk is somewhat mitigated at Accordia. The greens here tend to play incredibly fair and true. There really has not been much of an edge to be found for strong putters. When we discuss overall accuracy and ball striking, Ghim is truly checking all the boxes, hitting fairways at a 70% clip, and his greens in regulation number keeps pace at 73%.
Ghim and Schauffele will be popular plays, but if you start with the two of them in your roster. you are left with an average of $7,400 to fill out your lineup and there are plenty of great plays in the low-$8K and mid-$7K range to allow you to differentiate from the chalk.
Other Players in My ZOZO Championship Player Pool
- Kurt Kitayama ($9,200)
- Harry Hall ($8,000)
- Gary Woodland ($7,800)
- Mac Meissner ($7,400)
